I just got a ticket to ride for San Carlos but haven't decided what dates to go yet. I would probably have time in June or July and was wondering if any of the BWD crew will be heading down this year?

I'm probably going to drive down for the contest again.

Aug 16-23rd man that's late, last year it was in July....I thought I might be able to actually go....not then well unless retirement really does come much too early

Yeah, it's two weeks later this year. Not sure if that is a bad thing or good thing?

I wanted to go in August and do Matt's wave camp as well but I can't get away then. I might have to wait until Sept to do one of his camps or just go down in June or July and skip the camp.

Planning on driving down for the contest as well. Nanmoo think its safer to Convoy or go at it alone?

Convoy is more fun.

How many hours drive time is it?

8 hours south of San Diego at a brisk pace with a taco stop in Esenada. You can google map it and it will pick up San Carlos aNd give you the actual distance.

If I go again I would either fly all the way down$$$ or do the week drive coast surf adventure that nanmoo did and hit up new spots.

Schedule at work opened up so decided to go May 3 to 10 for the Wyatt Miller Camp, 5 more days to go!
