ACDC-SUP event at Canal Beach in Port Alberni Sat.June13

The 2nd Annual Alberni Canal Downwind Challenge (ACDC) - Stand Up Paddle Event
Pt Alberni at Canal Beach on Sat. June 13th 1-5pm.
Less than ten days away!!
There's two parts to this year's event.
1) The 9km downwind paddle from China Creek to Canal Beach, pre-registration open now

You can challenge bwd and dwd on their SUP race boards:) They were both frontrunners last year.

2) The fun, relay races are happening at Canal Beach, while the long downwind paddle is on. 5 people on a relay team with 1 board

The ACDC event will be wrapping up around 5pm just as the strong winds will be picking up, which is perfect for kiteboarding and windsurfing.
Last year, this ACDC event attracted over 500 people to Canal Beach, so, there will be lots of spectators on the waterfront, if people want to come and kite and windsurf that day, it will be a good time to join the party in PA.

Our local community is still abuzz from the daily wind shows and South Port Kiteboarding Open House a few weekends ago. Thanks to all of the wind peeps who venture over the hump for their wind fix in our PA mid-island hotspot
