Mid to mid-high is the only times I sailed Alder's. At low tide you'll lose the launch channel in front of the Resort beach shed and possibly the waves wrapping around the sand bar. Downwind towards the Monster truck tire (one of the 7 wonders of Merville) the shore is all boulders at low tide. Not sure if there's any really sketchy ones. Best bet would to stay up wind a maybe hike out onto the sand bar to launch. Wind cranking ESE at sisters is a good SE at Comox is good. Apparently the place shuts down fast if wind goes S.
