Gordons Beach - Friday Afternoon

Forecast says Gordons Beach is looking pretty good in terms of wind direction and speed on Friday afternoon. Before I brave the Friday afternoon traffic out to the west shore.... what is the likely hood of there being a decent amount of surfers out there? Never having been there, what are the opportunities for taking pictures like? Is it like Cook St where folks are coming in fairly close to shore?

Sorry to be a downer, but tomorrow's Gordons report is just barely on the kinda maybe scale. The probability is pretty low at this point.

If it is actually a solid 15kt as shown on Pred1, then I may be there with my foil -- but can't get close to shore due to kelp. As well as not all that exciting to be honest. ;-)

For others, the only way I can see someone driving out is if the model update tomorrow morning shows yellow 20kt on Pred1, with support from Pred2 and the marine forecasts. Otherwise, the wind chasers from away likely won't make the gamble.

downgraded Windprediction Mode 1 but keep an eye on it as it's west direction all day. this happened last week and it was great for an hour or two- I was overpowered on my foil.

Drive to LongBeach instead? Bound to find a couple of surfers right up close, maybe even a Red Baron

Actually, if work co-operates, I'm thinking I'm might jet up to Pipers this afternoon. We shall see.
