What the...
Where did that come from, wasn't forecast for mast+ (6-8' is logo, these were truely monsters). Winds were verrrry light in the pounder zone. We survived unscathed, although only a few rides, mostly getting worked on the way out. Short period meant more practice ducking the sail through the big waves rather than sailing it on them. Local "Ed" destroyed the top battens/sail of a new Ezzy Panther in the wash. Two others tetered out, had ~20 mins outside, came back and said "enough of that". Looked like an ad for Jet Dry (all white wash).
