I just want to lament about how good it was to hang out with everyone in the Gorge and then on the coast and even make some new friends. The vibe was great (as always), everyone was helpful and I think we all had a damn good time. So thanks to Kus, Pat, Dave, Dave, Dave, Dave, Mark, Chris, Janet, Jesse, Cam, Johnyman, Pete, Mike, Mike and George.

The only downside of the trip: massive Dave confusion.

See everyone in Tofino this weekend... right?!!!
Don't forget to bring a towel!

Sorry for the lag on posting the last few days of the trip - too much sailing and driving to keep up! :-)

Here is Day 9. This was the day (Saturday, July 7) I left Pistol River and arrived to sail Florence.

ps Nanmoo: I hope your teeth heal in place! :D As for all the Dave's - I kinda like that - that name is easy for me to remember and it cuts down on the confusion for me! But come to think of it, it did increase the omlette confusion!

Here's my A-Z roundup of the OR pilgrimage 2012:

A - Again: Already thinking about OR trip 2013.
B - Burritos: In spite of the Sea Star closure we ate a bazzillion burritos.
C - C36: who took his wave sailing to the next level, esp at Flo.
D - Double Ds restaurant: first prize for the worst breakfast spot in the western hemisphere.
E - Eggplant: Didn't eat anything healthy like that -- subsisted on Pizza, Burritos, and Beer.
F - Friends: The group we had made this trip for me. Tons of laughs, fun conversations,
G - Gnarly: Pistol River shorebreak at high tide. Good thing we had no big swell days.
H - Horsecamp: beautiful camp in the hills.
I - IPAs: Even more tasty Pacific NW IPAs than last year.
J - Janet: who did some kick-ass sailing on the coast - wins the award for least fear of the Pistol shorebreak. Fireball chugger.
K - Kus: who, in spite of physical absence, joined us with his online presence.
L - Loony: Bandon windsurfer who cornered me to lecture on world domination by UN, drones watching us, Agenda 21 - coming in late 2012 - WTF!
M - Music: Great guitar session led by two of the Daves - DWD and Fish. And, the fun Coho jam with Pete, Mandolin girl, and I.
N - New Zealand: The source of the S swell that we had for 3 days - thank you Kiwis!
O - Odometer: Racking up the mileage on my Vibe - not exactly a carbon-neutral trip.
P - Pirate flags: all over the place -- I5, Florence, Gold Beach, Hwy 101-- kept the memories of RD fresh in my mind.
Q - Quick learners: Cam and Jesse making a rapid rise up the wave sailing learning curve.
R - Russian Dude: Missed you buddy. Thought a lot about you on this trip.
S - SUPing: Tony, Mark, BWD, DWD showing how to rip it up in the surf.
T - TheCape: Wicked place to sail - can't beat the side off wind for DTL.
U - Urchin: Steph and Chris are proud parents of a baby daughter.
V - Vision: Almost lost mine, drinking Fireball Whisky.
W - Wifi on demand: BWD the master at providing on-demand Wifi hotspots with his Ipad.
X - Xmas: adding a wave SUP onto my list to Santa.
Y - Yellow: more people trying out the convenience of the pee bottle
Z - Zillion: number of slow moving, gas sucking RVs on HWY 101

Had an awesome time! Great to hang out with everyone and love the list Morewind. I'm adding a SUP to my X-Mas list too!
Always find it more fun to sail when there are lots of friends out there ripping it up on the water.
The south swell was nice too :D

Windoc just posted a nice wave SUP that would be worth trying out for either of you.

I don't get the Urchin one though?

I still need to try the nalgeen bottle trick, maybe this weekend!

I wanted to send out a big thank you to all those I had the pleasure to share time with on the Oregon Coast - friends from last year and new friends from this year! Thank you one and all for helping to create another series of wonderful memories! :D :D :D

In the process of putting together this footage I couldn't resist putting up a few screenshots. Just a little teaser of what's to come...

Here's one of Shaggy at the Cape.

Another of Shaggy with a little touchy touchy...
