I have updated entry fee estimates

Race class: $75 ish

Open Class: $30 ish

Race class costs more to cover the additional cost associated with holding a natinoal level race. The Open class costs go primarily to safety

Not sure how much clout I'll be able to get with BC sailing for this year. Might be worth hitting them up they might have a program in place that can offer some support.

As for Graphic Web Design I can offer up some volunteering there. Although very busy at work so I'd need to get an early start.

I assume we'll run at least some slalom races for the windsurfers? And Freestyle?

I'd say its worth getting involved. They need engaged people at the table to let them know where the growth opportunities are. Give em a call!

Re Windsurf- I am not a windsurfer, and would probably end up judging people on their sail/ board color coordination.

Would you like to own that side of the comp? Could be whatever you like. No swag or prizes if you don't want. Just need to chip in a little from each entry fee for the water safety.

Hey everyone, thought I'd share a status update

The folks at vancouver have boats sorted. RVYC may have some marks. Strong is doing the water rescue.

We *might* have someone to run the open class.

Windsurfers, glad to have you on board. Let me know what you need.

Those of you who volunteer, thank you! Let me know if there is a role you want in specific.

What I need now is a website, where I can post the notice of race, and notice of competition, and run our paypal race fee collections through.......anyone know of such a wind orientated site ?

I can take care of the site, one of the products at the company I work for is online event registration. Going to look into the costs, or a possible sponsorship and get back to you.
