Great weather book.

General discussions about the weather, incoming storms and swell, complaining, why is it always so windy at night etc.

If anyone wants to know more about the weather/wind, an excellent book is:Living with weather along the BC coast. It answers alot of questions, but does not bog you down with too much technical data. It is well worth the read. It also has a relly informative section on preassure slopes. The author is Owen S. Lang.ISBN 0-660-18984-4 and retails for arond $30 -
it answers questions like why we have a quite spell after mid November, Why Columbia gets more wind than IV. About 25% of the book is devoted to wind and how to forecast it for a specific location. my copy was bought at Tanners in Sidney, so I would imagine it is widely available. I know that it is also available in the library system.
