Sailing Whidbey Island

Post by Tsawwassen »

I put together a page with a bunch of info for sailing Whidbey Island that I got from Chris Klohn and Alton Ing on Alton's site.

Sailing at Joseph Whidbey State Park can be intense so be careful. There is a very strong current at the beach and it will drag you down like a river if you lose your footing. It doesn't affect you once you get out past the break though.

It is a great place to practice for the Oregon Coast if you live on the main land.

Any questions just ask.

Thanks Kus, Ya a bit out of the way and usually when it's good at Whidbey it's good on the Island so not much point for you guys, but you never know. Might be passing threw one day and score a good session there. :D
