Surface high pressure will continue to build offshore,
easing marine winds and seas through the rest of the week. Benign
conditions will continue through the weekend, before a frontal
system approaches the waters Sunday evening. Here, we will likely see
elevated winds and seas return to the coastal waters.
Combined seas 5 to 7 feet this afternoon will start to taper down
to 3 to 5 feet through the rest of the week and into the weekend.
Seas will start to gradually build upwards by Sunday ranging from
9 to 12 feet.

As per the latest update, the technician responsible for the Ballenas station is on leave. Trying to work on a solution to charge the station if coast guard unable to do so. The estimated time to get station back online is by end of April.

The Ballenas weather station has been defunct for almost four months and is key for nautical safety in our strait. Can someone please repair? I was told by DFO it belongs to coastguard. Coastguard tells me it's Environments.
How about everyone that was lucky enough to get out on/over the water today, logs their session..?? If 10 people post their session today, I’ll donate $100 to BWD tomorrow.
