Martin,
You should see us at the spit on a true SE, you can actualy cut up wind, jump over the crowds of people on shore only to be pulled back into the bay on landing. We have also had some brave photographers venture out in the cold water with expensive cameras.

Martin,
I have the last 2 weeks of July off, plus any other weekends when I get my spring list taken care of.

Are Johnny and Bonny going to be back for the summer?

Saratoga has the best wind angle for SE, almost all on shore so you can ride the whole beach. Not the smoothest sand... Kye Bay would be good on N or better on rare NE and low tide. On NW you could maybe get a piece of the wind, but not very predictable in this area. Low tide on light SE at the spit ...

Lost my new 16m kite on Monday Aug 8th between Nimpkish Lake and Port McNeil around 10:00 pm. Must have forgoten to close the Thule box and didn't notice it was open (was dark out) Kite only in bag, no pump, no bar, just a new kite used maybe 2 hours. Nimkish is my local spot to kite all summer. I have given up on the crowds at Nitnaht. Kites don't launch at the main bay area, like other have said gust are from 0-40knts+ There are 2 beaches up wind that could be used. Most of us camp at the Kinman Creek outlet, you have to hike all your geat down ...

I emailed Iwindsurf.com and tried to get info on what it would take to get a real sensor at Comox. But they are a buisness like any other and make money from subsciptions, I doubt there is enough people in our little group. I even offered to service the sensors, but that was not enough to get even a ...

Dale, I'll be heading up on Sunday, Saturday doesn't look too good. Nimpkish is thermal when cold in Port McNeill and hot in Woss. Problem this weekend is the low up north, if it touches too far down on the island. It may not get hot enough in Woss. Bring your small kites, when it goes, it's strong ...

I was the one who had the zodiac, when I was asked to help Dale, I was there as fast as I could. He was already 2/3 of the way back to shore with his board. We are talking about a large area, if you are staying up wind at "kite Beach" you can't see those in trouble past the windsurfer zone. When I ...

Judith, How did you make out? Some kite manufactures like all the line to be the same length when the bar is all the way out and other when its all the way in. That is with the power adjustment strap is at full power. What kite do you have? Have you call the manufacturer, when I replaced my chiken ...

You guys missed killer conditions at Comox goose spit this weekend. 3 guys from Vic made it up and put on a great show all afternoon evening. Comox will never be the same.
