Re: Windsurf Foiling Discussion

I haven't tried this yet, but I like the theory. I plan to try this to at least get the mast close to the right spot. I'm not sure how this will work for winDfoiling, but one would think it should be similar.

Re: Deck pad glue

For a non-yellowing option I like to use Automotive Goop or E6000 (they seem to be the same thing but the E6000 has a better applicator nozzle). It stays flexible like contact cement, but dries clear, and it also allows for a bit of adjusting after you mate the pad to the deck. Tip: apply a light ...

During a rare light to moderate easterly, Departure Bay can be fun to cruise around on a big board, but it is less amenable to windsurfing during stronger winds, specifically if you want to practice waterstarts. One place I found great for waterstart practice when I was learning was IN the lagoon at ...

Thought I'd repost this link. Warning: it hurts to watch this. Webcam above the Cape Sebastian area, it sometimes pans so you can see Pistol River in the distance to the south:

Found - Severne Hat, Downwind (south) of Pipers

Sure, it is only a ball cap, but I expect it may be of some sentimental value to someone; it looks well-loved. PM me if it is yours, or if you know to whom it belongs.

Automotive Goop. Stays flexible and clear, non-yellowing. Awesome stuff for so many applications. Most hardware stores have it.

In Google Earth the imagery date is July 2, 2016, indeed a day that many of us were at the Cape. It became super windy in the afternoon and most of us came in. I bet one of those still in the water in the image is Red Baron.

That was also the day I spent a long time relaxing in the oasis. One of ...

Re: Get on with it

Come on let's end this, someone buy a Witchcraft sailboard. They have a new model ! 4j ?
Ha! I actually contacted Bouke a few years ago about getting one. Unfortunately the shipping was prohibitively expensive. The Shaman does look good to me though. It would be fun to try one.

If you can, look for a card that has no foreign transaction fees. I have one just for travel abroad and for online purchases from the USA. You can save about 2% on the currency conversion. It seems small but it adds up.
