Re: Learning to wingfoil in Ross Bay?
RB is a good venue for learning, but IMO, not the best. It can be very gusty, choppy at best, and mostly have swells. Great for the elite foilers, very tough when trying to learn.
Willows is likely a better location. Typically flat, sheltered, nice sand beach. Very nice on SE. Can be gusty with a ...

Re: Inflatable Foil Board Repair Options
Sorry to hear.
I've had multiple successes with patching inflatable SUPs suffering a puncture. However, I've never tackeled a seam failure. That sounds like you mayneed a more complex professional fix from a repair shop. Perhaps Comox Kites may be able to help you.
Good luck.

Re: Vehicles for wing foilers
MiniVan works for me for similar needs. Lots in RBFC sport manvans.
Fold all the seats down and you've got a 4x8x4ft high protected cab. I've used it comfortably as an RV in China Ck, Tofino, etc.
Max load out has been 2 surf SUPs, 2 foil boards, and an MTB. We once loaded up 7 bikes/riders for a ...

Re: Cadboro Bay?
Me and the OGs have had lots of wingfoiling success at Cad. It was a goto spot while I was learning on wingSUP and wingfoil. It's also a nice alternative if Willows/CP is nuking. Main beach is a decent put in. Loon Park just south of RVYC is also good, particularly if shorebreak/logs are bad at main ...

Group shots from the Friday the 13th's fantastic wingfoiling session. Bobson was rippin' and whoopin'. Lots of gybe progression from Lancer. Paul was riding high and fast. MtnarG was following with his butter smooth gybes. Tweezwler was stylin' his elite skills. Ruppdog ...

Squamish Wing Foiling
Does anyone have recent experience with foiling at Squamish, particularly the Spit? I've heard that recent changes have affected access. Is it still accessible to wing foilers without needing a shuttle boat? What are the typical wind speeds? Any other useful info. Thanks in advance!

Re: GPS Tracks
Bob:
If no one else grabs it soon, I'll take it.
I'm using my old bike GPS, but I've never had the best of luck with durability with this new-fangled technology.
I'd rather someone takes it for primary use, but I'll grab it as back up if no one takes the freebie.

More Novice Drone Follow-Cam 230713
Trying to get a bit better with filming fast moving objects. Very close call with kiter's lines at min 0:33. That would have been bad. I think I got WindJunky and MoreForce4 displaying their awesome skills. I did not recognize the other winger or the kiter.

Drone Training Capture at RB 270712
I'm still learning how to fly this contraption so quality is amateurish.
Many thanks to Paul and Greg for giving me some moving subjects to practice with on a very light wind day.
Good for drone flying, bad for foiling.
