Wow Dave, awesome! How many boards will that rack system take inside? Wish they'd had those available when I was building mine! Is that a 12' SUP inside in the photos? Or even longer? Whats with the side panel 'popouts'? Are those the 'custom flares'? Can't wait to see it. I'm putting in solar in mine this year, have to see how yours works!

Right now I just have the 2 surf sups on the racks:

But it should fit 2 surf sups stacked on the top rack and 2 windsurf boards on the bottom.

That's a 12-6 sup in the photo.

The side flares give about 3" extra per side so I can sleep sideways, otherwise the width of the van was only 5'9" or so.

That dishwasher will be great on the Flo jetty...nothing worse then getting sand on your china plates.

Those sideways boards can't swing forward and smoke you in the back of the head? I replaced my tie-down straps recently, thinking about the possibilities.

You must REALLY hate to do dishes. Not believing the 'scratching the Royal Doulton' story at all. Do you have an oven?

Awesome. I have serious van envy. I didn't look too closely when I saw the link and I figured this was a generic bwd van, not "the" BWD's van. YOLO. Neat feature to give you the extra width to sleep sideways. Van Specialties in Portland does a great job(if it is still the same outfit doing the work). I ordered a bed and some tables and they installed them in my trailer. They let my son and I sleep in their yard when I picked the stuff up on my way through to the Baja, during a freak snow storm.

Well at barely 5-10 I was wedged in there and that was before they added thickness to the wall with insulation.

The straps on the boards are rated to 2000lbs and the mac trac is into reinforced steel so they don't move. But a driver partition would be the safest option though to prevent all the other stuff: rubbermaids, booms etc from flying forward. The best idea is not to hit anything, or to hit something small like a smart car.

You might have to update your location to "down by the jetty in the ultimate van"...or something like that.

The only way this could be better is if it was 4x4. Then it would jump the dunes better!

...well.... and certain humans) I have always questioned fold out trailers, why not just then have a tent you chuck into the utility trailer together with a cooler, a chair and a stove

That way you could set up away from the parking area ....and haul manure for your garden with the same rig and insurance

edit: I like the solid front, and the trailer deck tilts for ATV, ooooh, I see it can haul a fridge too, cool

if the front icebox isn't big enough

....so....the tent is actually kinda secondary to the rack features
