Details | 1st go on the HA1080. Insane low end. As in WTF?! Better than my MA1475 and it had great low end as well. Was able to make a 3m work with it in 12 knots shockingly. Turns are still good though not as sharp or rippey as a 1225 or 1000. Glide is really, really good. But the ingredient I've been missing most is a wave-oriented foil that will still pump. This has been a huge complaint from people surfing Armstrong and it looks like the pump aspect has been fully fixed. Feels like a mini-trampoline compared to previous Army foils. Top end seems pretty good; not blazing fast but far from slow. Stall speed is ultra-low which is fantastic. Tip breaches seemed pretty good too. Super smooth and steady through the water. Stoked for a first ride! Can't wait to surf it. [from Session Log on Tuesday January 02, 2024] |
