Details | Arrived to Willows early, 8:30am to a quiet parking lot but some good gusts coming through. T&T (Johnathon) showed up and rigged both 4 and 5 but took the 5m as the winds got a bit lighter. I also rigged 2 sails, 4.5m which I thought would be good when I got there but as it got lighter I also rigged the 5.2m and decided on the latter as it was 10-14kts, probably should have rigged the 6.0m but I was hopeful. Mtnarg arrived and rigged the 8.0m and Mr. N-S also showed and rigged 5.5m and was foiling quite quickly. Sailed upwind over to Caddy Bay but no racing going on but looked like DOG's vehicle in the parking lot at 2nd boat launch so hung around there until he made it out. Still no one around so headed back to Willows and BOOM, Wings, Wings everywhere!! I pulled in and ate my sangy and had my coffee and counted 16 Wings and Me. HA!! The wind was on and off with solid 10-13kts gusts so I rigged the 6.0m and headed back out as I only had 50kms so thought I should go further. All the Wings were coming in and packing up. Just DOG still out there heading back to CP as there were dingy's out racing so we headed back over there. I headed down into Caddy Bay and then got trapped inside as the dingy's were going across from CP to Jemmy Jones so I pinned my ears back and sheeted in and went mach 1 out between the fleets. After that I stayed outside. The wind started getting lighter so I decided to head back to Willows. The wind was light but still 10-12kts so I played some more off Willows and MTI as water was much flatter than before. All the Wings were gone and I was having to pump to stay on foil so decided to call it a day after just over 3 hours and 80kms. Foiled right into the beach, came off the foil, jumped off the board and was in hip deep water. Perfect finish!! A man and woman were walking their dog and he said 'That was impressive' and I replied with 'Thank You'. Perfect way to end the session. SWEET!! (tired) BOBSON OUT!!
