| Details | I have been away for a while. I had a terrific holiday with my family in Montreal. I am lucky to have grown up kids that are doing well in their young lives and to be able to share with them a couple of holiday weeks together. I am also very happy to get back home to Victoria and to get back on the water. I got to Clover today and there was only one kiter doing some weird stuff on the tip of Clover point. I thought it was kooky but just went about my own business. I setup my kite and met with j_dog and had a chat. The wind came up and I got quite excited. I got a launch from Justin and headed out somewhat over powered. I started with the Tiki and had a good 30 mins on that sweet piece of dance floor but came in when the wind and sea got bigger. I grabbed the Duke and had a great time thereafter. The swells were not as clean as I would have hoped but the best part of the day was the lofty wind which helped me make a lot of clean tack turns. I was indeed over powered on the 12m but that made for a vigorous day of successful tack turns, fabulous powered gybes and great stoke. Feeling blessed. [from Session Log on Sunday June 30, 2024] |
