Details | Arrived early....again too ensure my Rockstar parking spot. check. It looked ok and maybe 12-18kts. GregCan arrived and agreed it didn't look that windy. I headed out and it was windy, 20-25kts. No whitecaps visable but the 4.5m Sailworks Flyer was well overpowered. I came in close to shore and yelled at GregCan that it was Windy Wendy!! Over the next couple hours more and more Wingers and one Windfoiler (Mr. Keen). Lots of smiling faces out on the water and on Goat Hill which might soon have a name change being called 'Shit Hill' as the amount of dog excrement was ridiculous!! PEOPLE, pick up your dogs CRAP!! It was a Fantastic Friday at Ross Bay. New Doods that I didn't know like Eric who was rocking a sweet Roberts board and killing it out on the water. I had a couple of close calls today, one which was my fault for not shoulder checking 50ft from shore and one outside coming in and I was pinching upwind but the person upwind probably didn't see me, I saw him out of the corner of my eye and yelled out and we both managed to not collide. Whew!! OmenGreg was out with his small Parawing and lots of others out on 3 and 4m Wings. I was able to play on the waves on the way in which was pretty fun. I was probably unhooked 1/2 the time today because I was well overpowered basically the whole time out there. If I had a 3m sail I would have rigged it. I'm thinking that a 4m Wing is able to handle more wind than my 4.5m sail. TnT showing up late to the party but still lots of wind for him, maybe he'll post a session log....I guess we'll see. Mr. Monkey was out playing on his blowup board and I'm pretty sure he was drunk because after watching him for 15-20 minutes and he actually never went straight. What are the rules on boozing and foiling..?? Anyways, blah, blah, blah. Great Day!! BOBSON OUT!! [from Session Log on Friday January 10, 2025] |
