Fiber. Chill in the air and cool on the hands sans gloves for nine degrees. Wind was light on arrival and big John and I chatted about the slack mid-tide and decided to launch from Centennial. Wind was light but built while I was rigging and big John was ripping around by the time I took to the water. It ramped up so fast I was thinking I was likely to he over gunned shortly, but wasn't. Flattened the sail out and it all worked. Enough power to sail up to the boat ramp and enjoy the wind swell (and dodge the bull kelp and drift wood) out on the edge of the second bank! Matched raced with big John and shadowed Tsaawassen (wing) on consecutive waves on a couple of swell trains. Fun! Wind backed and shifted to east to signal the first shift was over but the peak of the wind looks like it came with the second hump just after lunchtime. Better than expected! Nice to get out!
