Re: Windfoil/Wingfoil compatibility
Hey Slick! Don't give up. I learned to Wing on my Starboard 150 Windfoil board. As Tweezy said, you just needed the longer fuse to get the lift further forward because Windfoil/Windsurf boxes are placed further back. I think the fuse is important part here, get a foil with a long (95cm+) fuse if you ...

Re: Windfoil/Wingfoil compatibility
I would say a foil is a foil. I’ve used the same foil Wind and Wing foiling. I would say that Wing foils usually have a shorter fuselage usually. The top of the foil mast that attaches to the board either DT or 4-bolt plate is the part where it differs. Most wing boards have the 4-bolt plate ...

Re: Windsurf Foiling Discussion
I'm in partial agreement with Twawwassen. I suggest using ONLY front straps as that keeps your front foot in the same place and you use your rear foot to control lift. Further forward for less lift, and further back for more lift.
Use a front foil that has a slow stall speed. 1500cm2 +/- (1200 ...

Re: Misc Windsurf gear
Hey Cam,
I see the $40 donation you made for the boom (yes, still only 1 boom).
I have no plans to head North anytime soon, let me know if you're in or close to Victoria and we can arrange getting you the boom.
thanks,
BOBSON!

Re: Windsurf Foiling Discussion
I'm sure you'll catch up quickly KUS, you've got that same 'stick-with-it-ness' where improvement comes quickly.
The Windfoiling is definitely easier than Windsurfing. Once your making your jibes it's sooooo easy, not coming off the foil is Rule #1 now.

GMAC, I'm interested in your NSP board. PM me price and conditions pls.
Smartang, my riding goals are to improve toeside riding, making 100% of my jibes and possibly learning some new jibe types. No jumping, that's for kids and crazies, only bad things will happen if I try to jump. I plan on riding ...

2nd Wing board options
I'm going to continue Wingfoiling again in March/April. I'm thinking it will be time to get a smaller Wingboard fairly soon after that. I currently have a 130 litre (6'x30")KT Wing Drifter which I will start with again when I get back to Winging. I'm 225lbs currently and would like something that ...

Re: Cadboro Bay?
I have launched from the main beach in Caddy Bay many years ago. As for the Cattle Point boat launches, I prefer the 1st launch (facing South) on a SouthWesterly as it's flat water and sheltered and worst case you can swim into the 2nd boat launch around the corner. I like the 2nd boat launch ...

Re: Log more sessions please
My Polar automatically downloads to Strava. I log into Strava, click Export GPX and then create my GPS log in BWD. It usually takes me about 2-3 minutes to my GPS. Just sayin'.....

Log more sessions please
Hey, with the amount of people out in Ross Bay yesterday I would have thought more people would have logged their sessions. I can understand that 'sometimes' you don't want to log your session for personal reasons but not ALL the time.
Can some of you Doods log a session here or there..?? I'm ...

If it doesn’t zap the van battery that would be a good option.
