Obviously, this more complete combustion also gives a nice boost in power, with an accompanying increase in fuel economy and reduction of pollutants." This rocks any way you look at it!! except having to have another fuel tank

My father in law (eccentric German/Canuck) hooked a propane tank from the cab of his old Nissan diesel pick up to the intake manifold. He would manually open the valve & the tired old 4 cylinder responded with gobs of smooth power !!! http://www.minivancamping.com/forum/index.php

A friend just picked up a diesel crew cab flat deck toyota 'high ace' truck http://www.mustang.bc.ca/images/27272-1.JPG from http://www.mustang.bc.ca/index.html (he ordered it used from Japan 10,000) he said they were great to deal with. I have heard good things about mustang.bc.ca, Luxury Imports (Wayne stands behind his product), and Outback Imports. For a comprehensive list of Toyota (and other) JDM importers, check out this thread on the Ih8mud forum: http://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=82972

Also, if you do decide to buy an import, do your research regarding known problems for your vehicle, and BC's requirements regarding things like headlights. Ask for references from your importer. Beware of "curbers".

If you don't mind the risks, you can import a vehicle from Japan yourself and save $$$.

Here's my first "surf vehicle" in 1974, parked outside the Warehouse at M&B Juskatla, in the Charlottes.
That was my first new surfboard shaped by Mike Eaton for me. It cost $140.00 plus shipping. I had it flown up and eventually it was delivered to me at the Warehouse.
1963 GMC bakery truck converted to a camper. Inside it slept four, had a stove and fridge, a closet and lots of drawers and storage space. I also had a big 8-D battery as a backup and to power my 8 track sound system installed. The piece-de-resistance was the modification I made so one could take a leak without having to stop when hauling ass to Tofino in '73 to go surfing. A funnel on a piece of hose that exited next to the left rear tire did the trick and served well both in motion or when parked.
You just didn't want to stay parked in one spot long.

Lots of fun in that thing before it went to it's final resting place, as a garden shed somewhere in Shirley.

I saw another Kus-Mobile, or whatever you call it Kus, for sale in Duncan. If I got one we could ralley along the OR Coast! That would be almost as much fun as the wave sailing.

I saw this Sprinter driving onto the ferry the other day, killer looks with the blacked out windows. Nice seating, overheight mind you and probably big bucks but the black on black just rocked

Why the picture looks so weird I do not know. seems they come up way wide when I post them, wasn't great to begin with but this is really bad. How do I fix this HollowDood

I use the 'add-on' 'image zoom' on firefox (browser/monzilla) Right click & select 25% your picture looks fine. Gordos Wed. !!!

Took a test drive of a Sprinter this morning. Awesome vehicle, but too much dinero. Amazing that the diesel engines are this quiet now - couldn't hear it running at idle. Tons of power but that was empty. Have to look at some slightly smaller partly camperized vans I guess.
