Brew tours?

Post by OtLunch »

Who's interested in doing a brew tour or two again this fall?

Last year we did Phillips & Moon Under Water, and through donations to the site of $5 \ each I think gave BWD roughly $90-120.

I was thinking that we could do another one. Canoe comes to mind as their new brewmaster has been really upping their selections lately and they have good food.

Who's in if we do a 5pm start on a Wednesday, or Thurday?
Is later better if an option, like 7pm?

I'd be down. A later start would make life easier for me.

I like beer tours!! I'm in!

I'd like to brew another batch at Bedford Brewing but the wife says I have to share it. I have about 80 -650mL bottles and ~ 150 stubby bottles... interested in going halfers?? about $150 a batch, so $75 for ~35 -650 bottles? or if you like the stubbies 75 bottles of beer on the wall.

the beer that you had brewed at Bedford was great stuff. Lysanne and I tend to experiment with different 650ml bottles each time we buy beer though, so we'd be out.

I'd try a stout or something with you, maybe a 1/4 share. Anyone else out there up for a 1/4 share?

I'm like Todd... too much variety to commit to too much of one beer!

I haven't seen that one specifically (and am now going to have to try and find it), but the Moon Under Water has a decent Dunkel if you haven't tried that? (and is readily available in bottles and growlers)

If you like Dunkel, try the Longwood Steam Punk. Their Stoutnik is also very nice.

I called Hoyne to organize a brew tour there but they are booked solid until 2014, and I am not sure when I will be travelling in January so I held off on booking it.

I am leaning towards doing one at Canoe on a Thursday evening. Thoughts?
