Accessing Latest BigWaveDave Wind Reports from a Cell Phone

Hey Dave:

So, how do I access the latest wind reports from the BigWaveDave Website using a cell phone and the website function with a telus pay and talk audiovox cell phone with surf sampler?

Try visiting the telus pages for instructions on your particular Audiovox phone:

Let me also try to help, although I have a different phone. I think most of the cell plans some with the free SURF SAMPLER option (which is basically useless). To launch the microbrowser hit the "web" key . It should come up with the SURF SAMPLER page. Hit #6, then #1Go To Site. Now type in the URL with your keypad, exactly like this:

www.bigwavedave.ca/pda.htm

Hit ok and it should load the page (you don't need to add the http://). Now on my phone I hold the MENU key down and this takes me back to the Main Browser menu. Then hit #4 to mark the site as a bookmark. You can now name the bookmark (BWD for example).

I use the pda.htm site since you pay 2 cents no matter what page you load
so you might as well load the one with the most info.

When you try to reload the page it always caches it and shows me the
old one. Even if it is days old. So start the browser again and it
goes to the SURF SAMPLER page again or it might even show the old
pda.htm page. In either case hole the MENU button down and this takes
you to the Browser Menu again. Hit #1 Reload and it should load the new page.

Hi Dave:

Thanks! I was stuck in a previous security error message loop and finally got to the surf sampler by web and home or something like that. Everything works fine as you describe, except reloading the page. I have to use the web menu options and select the restart button to clear the cache before I can reload a fresh wind report page.
