Nitinat and smoke

Post by laurief »

So, is there much smoke in Nitinat ? How does that effect the wind ? Or is there any ?

It's more how does it affect the sailor? :x I breathed that crap at Pipers and then the next day all day outside working ...didn't feel so great last night despite dismissing it before that as a minor thing...like taking up 3 packs/day yech

It kills the thermal when it's this bad. No thermal, no wind. Not to mention like Kus says it sucks to breath.

Smoke at the Lake

Post by KC7777 »

Smoke is bad and not fun to breath. Check.

I’ve been slagged on here for being off topic.....please can someone answer the OP’s question.

Is it smoky at the Lake right now (Aug 21, 2018) and if so, what is the approx. wind speed/sail size/kite size?

I’m heading there tomorrow after postponing for a few days. Would be useful intel.

Thx
