One of the upsides of using footstarps, breach recovery! Fun at Nitinat Lake.

I'm currently installing footstrap inserts in a board because I find I have so much more control. However foot switches seem more challenging.

Man, Nitinat looks nice.

Foot switches are much easier with jibe straps, but you have to do a proper kitefoil race swap. The straps give you a spot to hit, which will be the exact right spot. None of this baby steps, touch down, baby jump, baby steps back to riding position stuff.

I would recommend a common center insert for your jibe straps. The further your feet are from the centerline the more off balance your foot swap will be.

If I sell all my foils I might have enough for one of these. Hope I get to touch one next summer.

That's impressive, with only a 1500cm2 front wing and a small board. I still struggle in really light winds.

Sabfoil just came out with a massive new front wing, the WL 1550.

That is the least amount of effort I've ever seen someone get up on sup foil in the flats. And not on a barracuda shape. I still can't do it on the 1250, was going to build a 8.0' x 19" dw, but I guess it's easier to just throw some more money at it. Order me a 1550, might as well get the 73P too.

Also Sab rider just broke the dock start pump record on the 1350, 31:01. He'll probably add 15 mins on the 1550. Given the narrower and shorter chord on the new Sab masts, I doubt the axis 1310 will beat it. But it's just managing lactic acid at this point.
