anyone do any kiting on sat feb 4

Post by greg »

i see the windsurfers were out on the island and here in vancouver.but what i want to know is if any kiters got out on the island on sat feb 4 including mattdog who logged a session at columbia beach.

if you did get out could you please post the location, rider weight, kite and board that you used and any other details you may have(mattdog what size kite did you use?)

or is kiting in this type of wind 30-40 knots+ generally considered not a good idea and mattdog is the only one?

BTW i didnt go out in boundry bay here in van i figured that my 9m 03 bronco and i would have been way way way to over powered for it to have been fun kiting but i am not ruling out high wind kiting with the right gear.

cheers greg :D

Hi Greg, I went out in the 20-30 knots SE Saturday morning, not the big NW they had South Island. There was a guy Mark who got out on a 5m kite.
