hey, nice pix, I got 1 a' those, almost healed up, pleasant isn't it....esp when trying to hold the boom with any authority  I can see how 3 can sideline you bigtime....lesse, I also have two fried knees (7 surgeries total, one that requires ice for 2 hrs after each sesh now), two (one 3rd degree) separated shoulders (old but flare up occasionally), a hip pointer (minor, also older) and of course my herniated disk L4 with a numb foot and no right toe strength; oh did I mention my vision is way downhill now :P .....my ankles are ok so far and the viagra helps at least sometimes..... but all in all.....now that I think about it.....shoot me now please

Yes, the injuries DO SUCK

well, BWdave gave me that congrats for my 50th this year (dickhead :D ).....my wife says I have the maturity of a 16-year-old (well, except for the viagra part, ha) but probably have the body of a senior :P

Cruising at 42, aiming to loop this year or likely never  My three forward attempts were disastrous, I need to be underpowered in bigger waves is all, speed kills! Hey, but all that joint stuff is just temporary pain, the back however :? Kinda like terminal cancer for a windsurfer/ skier, eh?

Hey Kus; I hear ya on the old stuff and the history of injuries. At 52, I can't deny it. But what are ya gonna do. A guy still has to have fun. Maybe more fun. I just keep adjusting my expectations. By the way, your old board is serving me well with a 7.5 Retro on board. Thanks for the deal.
As long as we're moaning, I cut my ankle badly enough to keep me out of the water for a month, then my place got robbed twice so I'm too paranoid to leave for Nitinat. Lots of stuff sucks...just gotta keep slogging through it to get to the good stuff; which eventually comes along...dosen't it?

Pam: Hi guys, that kiter at Nitinat on Sunday was my husband, Tyler. We spent 4 hours in the Emergency room in Duncan. To make a long story short, Tyler had a severe laceration on his leg that took lots of stitches. The ligaments and muscles all down that leg right to his toes are badly damaged and he can't walk yet. His nose was completely shattered, the doctor said it was in hundreds of little pieces. There is not much they can do about that. The doctor tried to straighten it a bit, but until the swelling goes down, we don't know how bad it is. We are desperate to send our thanks out to all who helped out after the incident. Particulary the girl who helped Tyler on the beach, the people who watched our little one while I was trying to calm down, the lady in the white bikini who helped me pack up our trailer and especially the guy with the curly hair who stayed with us throughout the whole thing...your kindness is greatly appreciated and we hope to find out who you guys are so we can thank you personally. - Jul 25 6:48PM
