Batten hex key tensioner

Post by themorb »

I have a sail with cylindrical battens which fit into these 4" long plastic pieces on the leech end. The plastic piece has a hex set screw for tensioning the batten and little wings which allow a small piece of webbing to hold them in place.

My question is....... does anyone know where I can find a replacement one of those plastic pieces? Are they brand specific? One of my battens is missing this piece and it is causing part of my sail to be wrinkly.

Batten Key

Sailworks sails come with those hex keys. Ezzy's come with slotted screw adjusters. Perhaps the local Sailworks dealers could help you. :)

It sounds like a Sailworks. I've kept an old sail for salvaging parts off. You are welcome to come take a look at it to see if you need anything. I'm in Victoria 721-2405.
