nice! but the choice of a surfboard made it seem like it was a fully staged - redbull/oracle promo.

his average speed on the surf board was better...

so goes to show what the AC 72 was up against!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the cost/speed ratio.

The AC 72 design alone is around $1.8 million. Not to mention building, and crewing the thing.

The $1500 kite surfer by comparison is like a go-cart giving a ferrari a run for its money
these are not the pumps you are looking for....

Wow - but a lot more than $15 million in that Oracle boat methinks!!! Anyone know what their speeds were?
