Board Lost on the Nitinat to Port Alberni Road - July 1st

Post by Mudshark »

Just putting this on the forum, as my posting on the front page of the website I put up July 1st was gone in hours due to it's "chatter" nature.

Truly a memorable Canada on our drive out from Nitinat that day.

Lost was a Starboard Carve 123 in a silver board bag (July 1st)

Despite triple hold down straps, the board must has slipped off, probably between the village and the T-junction for the roads to PA and Cowichan.

Drove the road between 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m to China Creek, where the missing board was noticed. Road was extremely rough that day.

Drove back all the way to the village/campground looking for it right after 11 a.m.. No luck and on-coming drivers I talked to indicated they hadn't seen anything from the T-Junction to China Creek.

Not much value, to the finder, to be frank. 15 year old board that is mainly of sentimental value to me. Much more modern shapes out there for anyone still sailing. Pretty well sub-$200 value on the used market.

If found, please PM me. Will provide a finder's fee.
