A bit of everything today. It started out looking like it would be epic - monster fog bank and clear in the valley. Then the cloud came in from the E and the wind got light. At first it was up and down 12-15kts, then it filled in 20-25 for a while, then down to 18 or so. Partly cloudy with some light rain. Good fun with Mf4, RG and Bean.

OK, here goes... all in the name of group statistics. Another phenomenal day at the lake. 2 major breakthroughs today. It was my first day of not having to walk up the beach - FINALLY made it back to my launch point!! And, was able to get into both footstraps. Although I felt as though the board was somewhat out of control when I was in the back strap - maybe the 48cm fin. Maybe the board/sail combo. Maybe the sailor. Classic Nat day, just powered by the time I was rigged at about noon, sailed till 5:30, some re-rig/snack/beer breaks weren't enough to leave any energy for the evening sail - It was blowing >20 from about 5:30 to 8, unused! Made a couple of planing gybes but mostly crap out on the rotation. Tried a bunch of fin/sail combinations. Great stories from paratrooper Russian Dood and everyone else around the campfire.

A great day. Skies cleared at noon and the wind picked up to 18 or so by 1. Super steady wind and warm water 8) The wind picked up gradually until about 6pm when it peaked at close to 23-25kts. Perfect 5.0 and no crowds. Sailed with Mf4 and RG.

Wow! Had my first session on the ONE kite, and couldn't ask for better testing condtions. Medium strong winds at first, then they kicked up a notch. The kite is so simple to depower. Jumping and gybing require different technique, but I look forward to working it out on this FUN kite!
After 3 1/2 hours in a a hot car, this was the perfect way to end the day. Got out at about 7:00 and the wind was still going when I left at 8:30.

Third day in a row! Used the Ocean Rodeo Bronco 8m today thinking that the wind would come up stronger. It stayed about the same but I made the 8m work. Amazing low end for an 8 especially considering the extra pounds from too much ice cream that the board has to carry! Will have to work on that.

sweeeeet! great kiting. smoked a rock right as it sucked dry from a wave, not too much damage though. just a couple pieces of glass and it will be fine. went down around clover for a while, nice flat water, cruising over the top of the kelp. good eb tide to so short tacks past the point brought me back up wind quikly. love this city :D

On the water at ~noon (it was already cranking), sailing the 6.0/95L combo - likely could have sailed a 5.0, but the new ezzy was oh so tuneable :). Few boards/kites on the water <6 total :). Got off the water after a short (0.5 hr) session on the 111L/6.0 to watch KUS sail it up for a while - still wind at 7PM.... :)

Sweet day of open ocean sailing. Small swell with the occasional bigger one. Highlight of the day was syncro swell sailing with BWD...that sounds gay :shock: . Bungee cord works great for downhaul and even saved some time rigging by not having my mast extention all the way in the mast... :evil: . Fun day with the Gordo's crew!
