Needed some time on the water and conditions prevailed. Gratitude. Comfortable conditions for a 4m. One or two moments where things softened which reminded me to get back closer to Schorr in case the wind dropped and I needed to slog it. No need. Solid wind for the entire session. Great crew of ninjas out on the water.

Sunday, good. Monday was even better! Less gusts. Gorgeous sunshine. Lots of OGs and more to share the swells. I built up a bit more confidence in the bigger swells by following Idefix around. Swells were big, but they felt more catchable for me. I learned to turn downwind down the face to regain a bit more flag out speed. Highlights were jibin' with MtnarG, and seeing Bobson rippin' and jibin' like The Flash! Two sessions today and brewskis with Danno after each one to critique my progress.

Left work a little early and it worked out. Met a tired Bobson coming in with his shiny orange KT wing and he decided on a couple more runs to keep me company seeing our wings matched. I PASSED BOBSON! Probably only time it will happen so got to document it. Worked on the gybes, maybe some improvement. Great after work session! Little underpowered on the 3.5 to start, but both the wind and swell ramped up for a fun session. Working consistently on the air raley, it either goes well or very awkwardly. Always fun mixing up some swell riding with a few jumps. Rigged 4.6 thinking it would just be enough. It ramped up super gusty soon after I hit the water and I was mostly way over powered. Some nice head-on swells to launch off with the NW wind. Jumping is one thing, landing is another... cold water, weird weather, big turn out, fun.

Looked on the lighter side when I arrived and lots of people on 5m's so I rigged the 5. Super lit for one tack before heading back in for the 3m which was great for the first hour. Breeze dropped for the second half so I got the 5m back out. Fun waves in the river today, I had a couple of great rides all the way to the bottom of the bay. Practiced tacks for a bit but couldn't really make it happen.

Got on the water about 1:30, looking windy outside and it was. First 1/2hr seemed a little holey and was quite flat so went over to the dark west side to play with the kiters as it was considerably better wind and waves. Then wind amped and waves ramped and the downwinger train was on! Lots of great rides. Big wing crowd. Fun fun!

Big 3 session day. 1st hour at Willows trying to make spotty, gusty conditions work with GregCan. Moved to RB when the road was reopened and got some amazing action. Not too big at first so I started with the 6m. That lasted about 10min and quickly switched to 5m. Could have gone to 4m if I was playing beyond the point. Ocasionally OP'd, but still good. Took a break and then did a 3rd session with Idefix. The swell had grown to 3ft at the point. A bit gusty, but great powered sessions. So many wingers now!

Good turnout I found it chilly with an ice cream headache every time I fell in. Switched for a bigger helmet with a hood and that was better. Pretty OP on 5 anywhere near outside. Some furious gusts. Switched to 4 and was much happier. Almost foiled through a gybe on a wave on the outside

Arrived at 12:15pm to get my 'rockstar' parking. Dr. Marky-Mark and the funky bunch were there too. Looked like some peeps (Jumping Steve and T&T) were rigging up down the backroads. It looked windy 15+ but gusty so I rigged smaller, 4.5m Sailworks Flyer. Not much wind in the bay but 15kts outside. Got to Pat Bay 8am and wind was much too South. Dropped dog off at home and made the journey into Vic to find Ross Bay unaccessible for TC10k run. Drop to Cattle but didn't look good, Ross Bay was the only place to be I think. Drove back to PB, listened to Neil Young marathon.
