Mellow light wind session with the usual suspects. Very light bubble that moved in and out. Thought about trying a backspin but :shock: , just couldn't get over the phsychological barrier-especially the :evil: of having to relaunch if I crashed the kite in marginal wind. Came in and changed the settings on my kite, but by the time I went to re-launch, the Watson's and Tom called it quits because the wind had died :(

Nice mellow flat Gordo's zen sesh, glad I brought the big gear. The Watson's sucked me way out in the strait where the wind was, they left soon after I arrived and was all by myself for most of the sail. Had fun with wee chop hops and made it back without swimming. :oops:

Instant replay of yesterday, only wicked gusts were prolonged. Fully floppy 3.7 fully sheeted out going sideways..unreal :shock: boyz waited on the gallery to have a decent manageable sesh...probably smart but swell sucked me out. Tried 3 backies, came close on 1, in these conditions any air was taking life in your hands. Waves bit smaller today but also bit windier. Creating chronic right arm tendonitis :x ice, QuanLoon oil, Vitamin I

Cruised up to Beachcomber with JL and attempted some back flips on the flat water there. One attempt ended with a double kiteloop yanking me 30ish feet downwind through the air resulting in a face slap and crashed kite. Despite how much it hurt I kept trying. Probably landed 1/5 attempts. Very very nice ride up there though. I wouldn't be surprised if my skills have doubled over the last couple sessions mainly due to that upwind trek.
Im in my happy place :D

Never seen anything like it, the pros were missionary gybing, everyone trying to keep boards ON the water, stinger spray, launching by chucking the gear into the river & swimming after it :shock: Super wave/swell rides, looked like the coast out there. When it backed off a tad tried two backies, one of which was close :P just to fit in with the obvious locals, only about 12 people were out, rest just watching. Had to take rests & my arm is toast now :? but what a day!!

Oh my ....... for my first time at IV it was wonderful. Not much wind by the time I got on the water and then it shut of. But while I was out there it was butter smooth and the swellets were very gentle lol. I didn't realize how shallow it got in shore and when I turned the first time and didn 't quite make it, it was a surprise to be in almost ankle deep water! Glad I didn't do a chin dig!

insanely windy everywhere on the river today. Headed E to Arlington with Pete and WD. Super fun session there with perfect ramps for looping and nice swell. Stopped and sailed the Wall briefly on the way back but it was too windy for the 3.7. Van tranny unfortunately not good and could only do a max of 40mph on the way back- hope its not a major fix. Thanks to Pete for following me to make sure I got back okay.

first couple was a little light, but still had fun on the 12m. installed some new bridal lines for the second session and the kite felt more like my 9m, a tad less bar pressure and a little quicker in the air.
3rd session went out and the wind picked up a little bit more so had some fun trying out more tricks.
landed a ton of back rolls, a couple front rolls and can now successfully ride blind!! woohoo... now gotta link some moves together!

Waited for 2-3 hrs for wind (sooooo hotttt) that was gusty, strong, then shut off, then gusty some more, shut off completely. 2nd worst day at Doug's ever but still a great outing, Doug's is sooo nice w/sand, grass & great company. Lots of laughs on the beach again :P Today Snarfer joined in the fun w/ us, nice to have another member :wink:

:D Great session! The wind was full of holes but not enough to sink in the water at any time. Good waves for riding! Warm and sunny. The screws Phil gave me worked perfectly with a few washers. Peter was powered up on a 9 m and throwing moves 8) and then his kite crashed and I think it tore?? :cry: Got lonely for second hour. Think I saw Johnnyman streaking by once or twice.

Short sesh before the night shift and glad I did. Should have rigged the 4.5 right off the bat, ended up being overpowered on the 4.5 for the last 30 min. Had some good lofty jumps Mark and Rudy cranking on 4.0's. More please!
