Great day, once I got the slogging bit out of the way. Lots of wave riding on the Carve.. not that you'd call it a wave board. Followed Ozy and Paul upwind to the river mouth. Odd wave coming in but a bit of a wind shadow. Better break today at the point, Crew ( Paul Ozy Kus Adrian)sailed back to the park area and sailed around in the dark for a bit more. Followed by beers at the Kuschine. Good recon mission Windsurfish. :idea: Saw the Gvan but no Gwind :?:

Not as nukin as the MM5 suggested, or EC (although later it did crank up), but a solid 2 hrs of fun, wave riding and blasting. Wind lulled out, so I packed up for Nile Creek & Deep Bay to check out things (after the web chatter of the last few days). Nile was sheltered, and didn't get too much wind (Surfers report at the beach) while we were at CB. Got out nice and early and enjoyed the good wind with Larry, Al, and Grant for a good hour before anyone else showed up :D . A little light on the inside, but right powered up on the outside. Even quite steady for about an hour. Love the new OR footpads :P 3 hours and the feet werent sore! Tried out my new poggies, didnt like the feel so took them off right away :roll: (mistake) only to lose all dexterity within an hour and needed help putting them back on the bar :roll:

First time out at Spanish banks... i have to say it was an amazing launch, nice beach, safe launch. about 10-15 guys out on the water. sunny, amazing view of downtown and the mountains!
was a little light on the 9m but stuck it out and managed to get a few back rolls in and some good transitions!
wind started to die and just managed to make it back to the beach!

Very nice sesh, cobweb cleaner, warm December day 10 C. All kites and me. Powered on the outside, good workout for the knees and ankles steering the big board through the waves. Some guys on 9 m kites, so a 7 m sail biggish. Hows that jibing thing work? Stayed dry on most, not too shabby on a couple.

Having made many marginal CB trips lately I was due for a solid one and it really delivered. Late arrival for me but hit it right when it picked up. super fun sailing and watching the pros rip it up. switched to my 4.5 after a short time out and was suprisingly fully powered. lots of spills as I started to get tired. man am I out of shape -- feel like a tractor ran over me a few times. can't wait for the next one!

Great day, gee all that sailing is tiring. Some good waves. Lots of jumping, looked beside me one time and Bean was about 10 or so feet up in the air, windoc and ozy doing lots of loops. Wingnut blasting around at mach 2, Adrian catching some waves and breaking some mast. Ozy finally called it quits when he couldn't see the water from his board, let alone the land. He needs some running lights for Christmas....biodiesel powered. Cool to see the pics. :D :D

Great jump day! Huckfestival/jumpatorium in full effect. Bad-ish for waveriding though except for the odd smack. Lots of good action from everyone especially Bean and Ozy backlooping like madmen. Mattdog was throwing some nice spray on the inside on his surfboard and 6M.

Waves were not the best but still had a lot of fun!!! New Titanium Knee is working great!!! Brought lots of Canadian POPS for KUS but he was a no show. Not like him to miss a good session.!!!

Nice!! I needed that. Fully powered to overpowered. Chickened out on three loop setups, but had a great time watching Wdoc crank a bunck of forwards. Lots of wave rides, chop hops and a few great jumps. Jibe like a fiend. Why does the brain stop me (from looping)? Looks like the later session was a good one - damned gainful employment.... :)

What a nice surprise :!: Pretty windy to start, thinking I couldda rigged 4.7. Then 30 later mellowed to the point of trading boards, a bigger sail would've been a plan too but then I caught the eve blow with Ryan & one other kite. Arg..hard to read the other posts...rearranged things so I would have a 3hr wind window, which turned into less time. Tore up to cb. Listened to Bean talk about perfect 4.2 conditions on arrival. First spin out I was a bit overpowerd so I downhauled the sail abit, then 15 minutes until the mid day lull which turned into an hour or so at which time I had to go back to work.
Oh well...Nice to see Paul back on the water

Nice! Nice! Nice! As bean said, a top ten CB day. Excellent wave rides, nuked early and at the end, with an hr of 5.5 in the middle that was more like 5.0. A few stalled jumps (still loop free) and some cranking beach side jibes off waves. Nice drop in jibes off swells on the outside. Wave rides with multi cut backs.... Anyone not leave tired and satisfied?

This was also one of the best wave riding and jumping sessions for me at CB. The swell for the first hour and a half was CB 10/10 for riding with great jumping also. After the mid day lull, the swell and wind jacked up again with 40 knot gusts near dark. I managed to even get an aerial on one wave. No landed backies for me today, just lots of spectacular high altitude ejects and many forwards. Watched Bean nail a beautiful sail away backie :twisted: . Nice one Bean!! Probably one of the best CB wave riding sessions I have ever had. It seemed like every run inside we were catching nice waves and powered up. I almost missed out on the fun as I left my booms at home...thanks Windsurfish for the loan of the boom with non-Winddoc length harness lines! Winddoc was very generous offering up one of his booms and some mitts, but man how do you sail with lines that long?!

Got schooled...... Been waiting to finally sail the spot below our place on a decent SE but had to work every good day in the last month. Thought today was going to be the day, but found out the hard way that this site doesn't work so well on SE in a high high tide.
First off almost no beach for launching.... literally like two meters at the bottom of the stairs for rigging up. Second, horrendous near shore wind hole with breaking waves to boot. Got down there all psyched with my 88L and 4.5 and it was ... (more)

Couldn't escape work 'til 10am, arrived just after noon to heavy rain and the wind was dropping. Had to endure all the stories of epic wind and waves in the morning. Things were looking dismal, then around 2:30 it started to fill in again so I sailed the 5.5 for about an hour then it increased to 4.7 and around 4pm it nuked so I quickly rigged the 4.0 and had a short survival session with winddoc who was still on his 4.7! Wind all day, died around mid day and then built to storm by 4pm. probably best all around day this season. there were some sweet wave rides out there. Paul L. returns to the scene, can still loop.
