BBB - Backloops Before Breakfast! Well a couple lame attempts anyway. On the water at 7:05am. "Mellow" 4.0 until 8am then it got crazy. Got too close to shore and got worked nicely in the shore break. Gear washed up on a stump and rocks - seems ok. Try for an afternoon session maybe...

    Wow what a day.

I came at about noon, and it looked iffy, so I rigged up 5.5, and guess what, It picked up, I got totally overpowered, riged down to 4.5 and was happy overpowered to the end of the session.

Saw a pack of sea lions, those things freaked me out emerging about 10 meters from me.

The swell was great for riding/jumping. I got my first frontside aerial. Stoked! Threw a few backloops and landed flat and loud on one . BWD and Dunkinguy were ripping it up. No booties today!!

Kited 3:30-6:30 on the Wipika Hydro 7 (9m flat). I'm starting to get some faith in small kites, finally :D . Kite was close to dialled in. Could've rigged 3" looser on the rear lines for more depower. Fun jumps and surprising hang time for a small kite. Hands stayed pretty warm, air wasn't too bad. Memorable :D

1.50 hours Starboard Hyperdemonic 125 litres
    Ezzy Wave SE 6.9m
:D Too much fun! Rigged the 6.9 thinking it was't that windy. Perfect 6.9 conditions. A little to choppy for the hyperdemonic but still lots O' fun! Did long runs down to Sidney and up to bottom end of James Island. Too much fun. Wish others were there to share the good times. Lots of downhaul on the Ezzy works well to spill the big gusts! YEAH!

Had trouble getting going early this am due to bad cold and got to IV just as the wind died. Waited 1 1/2 hrs. then went back to town. Went back at 3 pm when I saw wind beyond Baynes Channel. Caught the last 1/2 hr. of sailable wind. First time I've ever been to IV twice in one day - A personal best! Woo-hoo.

IV looked unreal for early hours; Willows looked great in a.m. around 4.5 when I got there but man it sucked bad at 11, half a dozen runs, :? teasing wind coming up bigtime then leaving me standing around; mega weeds never seen them so bad clogging fin to prevent planing  What a waste of fuel and time....not to mention all the hype over this day.
