What a great day. Not too cold and it got windy after starting on the big board for a half hour. Seemed like I got the best of the afternoon. Came in at 4:30 when it started to get a bit puffy.

On the down side, with all these harness line discussions lately, I realize my lines might be a bit short for CB conditions. Although they seem perfect for flatter conditions. The full on catapult, body slam, I can't breath for 2 minutes, had nothing to do with this sudden embarrasing realization.

    Nice! Nice! Nice!

Friendly CB at its best with water on the rock bar, enough wind for an extended session, and decent ramps for jumping. Had a 7 cut back ride below the main bar - FUN!

Many usual suspects, and a first day for Riley, who ripped it up out there.

    I'll sleep well tonight!

    Nice! Nice! Nice!

Nice birthday gift - able to snag an after work session at CB.

It was great to see everyone and remeber that I am more than just an empty shell of a burnt out teacher who deals with high school students everyday.

I realize my teaching may actually help my windsurfing as all the pent up work stress was able to be unleashed on the water and I was carving more aggressively and jumping more than usual. Unfortunately no jibes though.

If only I could windsurf everyday, maybe I could take my students fartin ... (more)

Enjoyed the ride but was looking for a little more kick. A little more wind would be perfect. regardless, a couple jump attempts and back flip attempt in marginal wind. I think its time for new booties....the speed holes in them dont seem to be working quite as well as I hoped...

Great fun - wind heated up just as I left. Put yet another hole in my sail. Very close on several back loop attempts, and some dry but not very slidey vulcans. The last week of subzero nights have made the water rather cold, but definately not complaining about todays Chinook.

Happy Thanksgiving! Dawn patrol paid off, and I had a short, sweet, solo session. Gwind and John hung around on the beach for most of the session, and Dave/Adrian showed up late to get me firmly entrenched in the dog house (thanks for the coffee Dave). Decent swell/jibes on the outside, two rides on the inside, two rowdy sea lions forced a downwind landing (seemed a bit too friendly for my liking...) NICE!!!!

Sweeet!!!! So nice to be back on the water. I've been MIA for over a month. We bought a new house and took possession end of August. September was all about minor reno's and so busy I completely ignored the forecasts and wind conditions since getting out on the water wasn't much of an option. Moved in last week and that kept us busy for a while, but life is finally starting to come back to normal....

Our new place is just down the road from the steps at the end of Invermere. Took the gear out of the gara ... (more)

:D :D Wow. What a different place than Saturday. Big wind, big steep chop, and some nice meaty swells  The wind was up and down a lot but it wasn't punchy. The outside looked huge but it was hard to access with the flood tide. Big bubble at the shore made things interesting at times as well. Reminded me of Willows on a big day.

Had some gear issues today :? Little board felt like it had an anchor on it at times. Not sure what that was all about. Might've been the new fin. Sail felt funny too. ... (more)

Decent session. Up and down at first and then it looked like it was over and I was ready to leave, but then it kicked up at 10. Good session for an hour with some nice swell over the reef. Two decent high loops, but hard to get any stoke sailing alone. Should have made the trip to JR...

    2.50 hours Quatro Freestylewave 90L
    Neil Pryde Tucktape Special 4.0
Windsurfing in Alberta has redeemed itself. Sweet sesh at Keho Lake, nice gorge style waves and more than enough wind. Hit some huge airs and some memorable wave rides. Also ripped a hole in my thumb, but it was worth it. Finally a session to write home about.

Came out of the Saanich Fire training room at 3 to see the wind was cranking! Headed straight home and on to cook to find the place lit up with the usual suspects + new and old faces. Rigged the 4.5 and it was game on, made my first couple of jibes way overpowered then it was hit and miss after that. Wind was up and down but when it was up it was waaaay up. Had some good swell rides, always improving and some nice lofty jumps. Went over the bars in sub planing conditions only to hear BWD laughing at me ... (more)

Looking at the huge reports coming in from Cook St, I figured it was likely a bit much for my 4.8 :( so I decided to check out Pat Bay. It was fully lit when I arrived but backed off a bit by the time I hit the water. Tried the little board but it was too gusty to float through the holes. The bigger board worked well. Lots of wind but super gusty :? Given the forecasts of the last few days, this was not the epic session I had been hoping for. Oh well, at least I got wet  Sounds like Cook was a clas ...
