Sweet big gear session with Bobson in the warm sun and warm wind. dicey to start but then the wind came up bit so we were ripping out toward Trial in perfect big gear conditions. 2nd time on the overdrive. feels so heavy but in light wind conditions it has the power you need to plane -- a worthwhile sacrifice! great way to end my weekend!

Sorta a day off, shoulda gone earlier with 15 knots, misjudged the wind building in the afternoon. Last year was 15-30 knots pretty much every day - SO different this year. Super steady wind, and a horizon both sides (200 km long lake) Desperation sail, and now getting too much debris in the water for planing anyhow

Udder and I were the Gordon's virgins. Fortunately there was no sacrifices necessary. Except for Bean's 5.0, which he probably holed on purpose so he didn't have to come in to rerig. Nice lined up swell was everywhere. Got some great swell rides and one big air. Took awhile to get used to the conditions. Nasty chop, great swell, then it smoothes out on the outside. Some kinda magic keeps you up wind. Kept getting windier, so went in to check on Buster and get the smaller board. The Beast was great ... (more)

Mid-island possee road trip! Gordon's delivered big time. Overpowered on the 5.0 so teed it off a wonky piece of chop with one foot out of the straps and the the precision head size hole made it a perfect 4.5ish ... and I sailed on. Bunch of forwards and just loving the smooth swell rides and slashes. Cheers for the beer Jellyfish via Ruskie.

:D That was one of the top 3 days I've had at Gordon's imo, just because of the hour and a half of damn nice waves and rippin' wind. Started out flat and choppy but very windy farther out, then gradually moved in and all of a sudden we had these great waves that were smooth and steep. Everyone had a blast slashing and jumping but later on the wind dropped a bit and it was back to chop again.

The vibe on the beach was great with a lot of socializing and beer and snacks - thanks Jellyfish and BA. :D

If not the best session at G-spot for me ever, then very close. Great to sail with the up-Island gang. The ramps were UNBELIEVABLE for about an hour and a half. Some of them over head and glassy (no really). Tried a pushloop on one of the the biggest, steepest ramps I saw all day and bailed just before hitting the water. Wild sensation! Need to get these dialled. BWD threw a monster over-rotated fwd in front of me on his new twinny. Everyone getting huge jumps/slashes. Thanks for the beers, laughs and beach ... (more)

Scored a sweet parking spot behind nanmoo. Rigged and caught the handy dart to the beach. First 45 mins was as good as I can remember g-spot in a while, then fizzled. Should have got there earlier to extend the sesh. Nice to see a good turnout today.
