nice little overpowered session on the 5.5 and then it really came up and switched down boards and sails. Almost no one on water so at the end there were actually nice little jumping ramps. Arghhh jibes sucked - did a boardless loop on one attempt. landed laughing. It was so perfect if only the board had still been attached to my feet! I can jibe if I intentionally come of a plane and sail out clue first, but outherwise if I plane i plane around too quickly and haven't flipped the sail and get smacked ... (more)

Nice full day. 0.5 hr on the 6.5, then the rest of the day on a 5.5 (5.0 would a been fine). Second session at ~4:30 onwards was the best wind, although the bulk of the sailors at the lake were all too tired - best nat swell, great jumps, excellent cap to the best day yet!

Sweet little session. Short however as it was the guys weekend with the boys and Luke didn't have the beach sleep I was hoping for. Nice to shred the lake with the gang again. DWD charging the starboard shuuvits and lots of spock attempts. Felt pretty rusty but hit a couple loops and sloppy vulcans. Great Nitinat start. Crazy changes to the campsite! Leave the big rigs behind.

great day for my season opener at nitinat, lots of familiar faces. i counted 10 wsers and 22 kites out at one point. no bears seen but swarms of feral kids roam the beach. pulled off some sweeet high speed body drags. keener and i took the south cow lake road, its fine; word on the beach is the youbou side is still quite nasty.

No wind inshore all aft, slogged out w/ Seal to meet SwiftFleet, had some fun, handed Seal off, wind came in a bit. OES ripped then the wind came up more, handed it off. Concept handled the overpowered 5.8 :shock: w/ tiny wave fin. Not the greatest combo but I was surprised. Had some great waves with the last two, switched to the 102. Cuz wind got too much for 5.8, tried 4.7. No probs but getting off the beach was a bitch :x Then things died off, lotsa clean-up to do :roll: 8)

Arrived to find Ozy, Paul and Gwind making the best of the light wind and had a decent first hour of mostly planing, one forward, one backie, then the wind backied off but the swell improved down near incinerator so we had some fun doing the bob out and surf back on some decent waves. Eastside on the westside. Caught the tail end of the wind such as it was. But still a great day. Definitely a taster session......I want more :!: Some planing especially at the beginning. Good time with everyone. got blown off the water after only an hour and and a half. Time to save for a Rise 8. The Wakesurf board is quite the challenge. if you bend you knees you stick to it. made a couple of olies and a couple of gybes. off the lip turns on waves are the most fun. knee moderately happy but still reminding me that it can tell me when to quit at any time. :D :cry:

Came after work to find whole bunch of boyz on the beach with grins on their faces. Rigged up 4.0 and stocklessly ( :shock: ) sailed for about 1.5 hour. Then wind died off a liitle and Mr. Dr. let me use his 4.7 for a while. I liked long harness lines. I think I am going to switch to 26' :)

Classic Epic Gordons Day :twisted: Started out on the 11m at about 1, tacked out and stomped a big floaty front roll :) , then stomped a kiteloop backroll next tack :D . Great way to start the day. Went for another loop 20 mins later and the wind had picked up... way up :roll: which is where I went before I landed directly on my face :evil: . No injuries though 8) and it was time to switch to the 8m. OP on the outside in the big rollers but nicely lit on the inside and great for jumping :P As JL said I ... (more)
