Barely beach started in the bay, wobbled out through kelp, flare jibed dry :o and ended up at the stairs. Tried it again 10 min later, got planing momentarily, then semi-powered, so stayed outside for a bit. Crazy e-bound current meant waterstarting waiting for a puff and you were 3/4 of the way to Clover. Finally came up enough to plane comfortably and stay upwind easily for the last run. Fell on one jibe only  Had a close encounter with a Martin 242 on a downwind race leg, bore off and surf-jib ... (more)

    All alone again.

    Morning sessions...

nobody on the beach except the people sleeping there.

    Pretty gusty today.

Jumping is Waayy to much fun... when you don't bail.

Got launched wayyy higher than I thought I was going to go.

Pulled in on the bar while in mid jump, it was like and elevator.

I think a gust hit me too.

    Going up?

kind of freaked me out.. but lots of fun.

Went back out on my 10m with asscracks EH board (funky). Took it easy the second half as I agrivated my rib again. Looking for a board that will not break.

A fabulous day. With a tired body, I had a great day!! Readjusted the harness lines to give my poor arms a break. And I was in both foot straps on every tack. What a difference. Caught and released all except 2 big ones which we cooked up for breakfast. My first time landing fish on a fly rod. Sweet. :) Did a couple hours of wind waiting today as the wind teased at filling in but kept backing off. Got some marginal planing time on the fish at first, then it came up pretty good for a 4.7 once away from shore. I was pretty powered on the 5.5 but it handles the high end amazingly well. Had alot more fun once I went to my small board. Could've kept sailing but was getting nervous about being way out on my small board when the wind suddenly drops.

Yeah Baby !!! First time I've ever scored wind @ Gordos with cloud cover. Weird bubble but waited for the wind to fill in to the beach & scored about 1.5 hours with the windsurfers (Don, Dave, Mike & Peter)... Gusty gnarly wind switching from cool marine air to HOT offshore squalls & ramps galore... Great fun ... A little odd with the bubble but charged in for a hot landing during another burst bubble. Arrived home to thunder showers !!! The 12M 'ONE' lived up to it's massive range today. :D : ... (more)

Classic Nitinat shared with The brothas, RD, The Law, and Dunkinguy. Great to see Simon ripping again. Tried lots more grubbies and came super close on two. So much fun to see happy hateful faces smiling and stoked.

First day since October! So glad to be on the water. I was crazy overpowered most of the day, and just hanging on for dear life. Several catapults (er...loop attempts), and not even a single attempt to get into the straps. It's been a long winter, and the body is feeling it. And - just to be consistent - put a small tear in the sail - thank gawd for tuck tape! Tried the F2 Axxis258 - it wasn't pretty.

Actually it was 2 sessions rather than one. First one was kinda slowish 5.5/Evo combo and the second one was pretty good. Tried looping a couple of times . It's Very difficult to find right ramp. Doc gave me a good tip on looping entrance that's turned ot to be a gem, thanks Doc!
