:D Arrived at 6:00pm to 10kts, waited 15mins then rigged up with Tweezer Butt. It was very gusty, and lumpy outside Clover. Then the wind came up just after 6:30pm BANG  !! All of a sudden it was 20+kts. Superfun speed runs inside Clover. Tweezer is amazing holding down his 9.8m. Only clocked 42.2km/h as it was still a bit lumpy. 11km distance. The new STARBOARD FE board is FUNTASTIC!! :D Finished at 7:30pm and went for burger and beer at Ross Bay Pub! YUMM!

Better than staring at the webcam. Tried MF4's Kona. Really well thought out product. Easy to sail for a beginner, enough performance for an advanced sailor. A 7.0 or larger Superfreak would be the ticket.

Gusts were OK but they got fewer and weaker. Kona salvaged a few more runs. Hey BWD according to the Gordos weather stn, it was gusting 25 on the beach when I first went out. I would have guessed 20. Even when everyone was out together early on it was still gusting 23 or so. Is it calibrated? Are we calibrated?

Bizzare wind today, superlo tide, started bigtime OP, held on for 1/2 but better w/ smaller board. Had fun for ~1hr, then it died. Did a little exploring on the reef (THERE ARE SEA URCHINS!! Who knew :?:) & in kelpbeds, came back very light. Played Mr. Balletdood for a long while, got a long run out only to have it die   but made it back to kelpbed heaven  This went on for a bit til my arms r extended by ~2".

That was fun. Rode Doc's ( Thanks man ) CCCP military issue board for a while. I think it's counterfeit because it doesn't feel like military. Feels much better - more alive and faster.

Started to jibe w/o taking my back foot out of the strap. Surprisingly it makes carving much more controlled and smother. I think it's because I can engage more rail. Coming out of the jibe full speed switch stance is soo much fun!!!

Threw lots of duckies.Tons of high jumps.

Saw a couple of dolphins on the outside.

Great session. Pastadude and I arrived to find Rocdoc packing up his overpowered 5.0. 4.7 was perfect and the chop was set up nicely for jumping for 15 minutes, then it got a bit messy and lighter (marginal 4.7). The wind picked up again quite a bit later and the swell improved for great slashing/jumping/looping. RD showed up along with Pete and a couple of others and it was classic Gordo's for a couple of hours at least. Highlights: one ultra slidey vulcan on the outside, one especially fun shuvit, one b ... 8) 2 for 2. Long session started with a huge reach from the beach to the far tip of Trial island. Must have used up all the wind with that one because on the way back it started to falter a bit. Planed on and off for about an hour, watched MF4 and Bobson pump furiously while I sipped a beer. Wind came back up at the end for 30 min of ripping with Tweezer and Bobson. Sweet!

But the planing runs and playing in waves at each end made it a good sesh anyway. Played with Bobson, BigD, and Tweezer went out as I came in.
