Nice session today. Launched j_dog and then self launched and proceeded on up the beach on the windward side. Wind was quite good and fairly steady. For the first part of my session there was some nice rolling swell but as the tide flooded it turned to chop. I tried several tacks but had no luck mainly because the 10m and the amount of wind available was not enough to support me during the transition. Most fun downwind runs ever! Ebb threatened to take me west of Clover Pt and I ended up near the beach in the point's windshadow and with kiters close behind me. That gave motivation to bear right off once I got up on foil, had to get into the washing machine before there was enough wind, and headed off towards Trial Island on starboard tack. Surreal consistency over three days at Ross Bay. Was a little bagged coming into my session and wasn't at my best, but pushed through getting some big glides in some confused swell. Commemorating my 100th log here on BWD. I had barely any experience in neither wind or foil when entering my first log here. Big shout out to Tweezer, Ryan, Wind Doc, Bobson, Chomik, BWD, and many others who have supported me with advice, tips and encouragement over the past couple of years. RBFC, keeping it weird ;)

Three days straight of travel destination quality wind and swell in our backyard! Another 2 session day using my smaller 88L Cab Code. I'm starting to get used to the board's awesomeness. Thanks for the deal, DocMark! For me, the swell was the best and most consistent, despite reduced wind strength compared to yesterday. Errand to Sooke so thought I would sail out west. Looked at Whiffen and consulted with JBridal. He said go west young man (without the 'young' part). I got as far as Gspot. Swell was smallish to start but built as the wind increased. Ventured downwind to Otter point to take a look then the grind back up. Some nice rides! Fair bit o' weed.

Hit the water about 3pm and it was looking very windy and wavy so rigged the 4.0m and HPS930. Had a few reaches then a cloud came in and the wind dropped enough to have me pumping and cursing but unable to get flying! Schlogged back and swapped up to the HPS1050 which proved to be just right. Fun times from then on with nice swell rides from point to bay deep. RB does it again! Woooohooo

Beautiful day at Gordons, super steady wind all afternoon right to the beach. 1st hour on the 102l, but finished on the 85l as the wind picked up through the afternoon. Started with 3.5 and 1099. Bit underpowered, took some work to get up but super fun. Occasional big sets and puffy on the inside. Switched out for 5.0 and 1001ArtPro. Taking advantage of the insane glide, scored some long down the line screamers but the 5.0 sure is big and cumbersome in these conditions. Fun novelty sesh but not quite as fun as a good wavey Ross day like yesterday.

Launched 1015 solo from Locarno and was in the North Arm by 1115! Passed a humpback whale near the sandbar on the way up! Some very smooth swell near the jetty! One kiter out at Wreck beach. Stayed around Wreck for an hour when a lull made me start to head back. Fantastic day on the water! Great to see all the usual suspects back on the beach!

Rinsed and repeated, to grab Tweezer's log title. Made a few decent gybe attempts on the smooth outside rollers where I turned and had rotated the wing and powered up on a couple only to stall due to not enough speed. Stayed on my feet for one which is first for a very long time, and landed/kept sailing toe side which is a first for me. Close-ish on the inside on a couple, so progress! Super fun skate park conditions with smooth swell. Tried the 780 with the 205 and it loosened it up perfectly. Small crew out, a bit chilly and lots of kelp pieces. Hopefully more today, wind not kelp.

Quick one at the lake. Breeze pretty far west and much better while setting up and breaking down then when I was on the water. Fun cruising right by the dock for my brother to watch! Someone else heading out while I came in. Water is getting warmer.

Awesome sesh. Should have been on the 1001 Artpro or Spitfire but didn't want to waist time when conditions were so dang fun on the 1099 glider. Really nice swell against current off Clover and deep into the bay.

Gustingly fantastic couple of sessions! Fickle winds at the start. I used 5m, switched to 6m, then back to 5m. I should have switched to 4m for the second session. Getting more and more comfortable in the turbulent swell at Clover Pt and safely stay out of the way of the elite riders. Great to see the new riders braving the big winds and swell. Braver than I was. My tiredness increased as the winds strengthened in the bay. Cold bevy with Idefix post shredding was nice, but none for ULR.

Drove by 6:45 and nice steady looking 20 knots right to shore. About 7:15 getting in and wind started to die in the bay. Was pretty disappointed. 30 mins of pumping in gusts before it cranked up to OP. Quite a wild rodeo today, wobbly wind and wobbly sailor. Lots of spectacular bails. Fun challenge. Still horrible on toe side.
