5 knots at the boat launch when I was rigging, figured I'd give it a try. set up the foil drive and my biggest gear. I could easily get on foil but there wasn't quite enough wind to stay on foil. I think it was a good test to find the minimum capability of my setup. I've foiled in consistent 8 knots but I think that is the bottom end and even then jibing becomes very difficult.

It was cranking pretty good when I first went out , great powered on 3 meter but in the lulls it was pump fest, so after 45 mins changed to 4 meter loaded nicely got some great upwind angles snaking up the smooth swells , some real fun runs down but then it lightened right up near the end and I could used 5 last half hr , water overly warm for this time of yr , really weird no bay rays around, suppose to crank on Sunday, hopefully in between the big g swells there will be SUPERBOWLS

The forecast was a little blue on both models with good potential for an afternoon sail. 13:00, only one other wing sailing past Clark. Rigged the Cab 6.2 to be sure. It ramped up quickly. Nice! Happy to change for a 5m, put on the warmer NRS mitts, and back in for the long run. Silver seas for the afternoon with 1m swells west of the Hudsons :)))

Great last day in LB. 2 weeks, and only missed one day on the water. Wind came up late, but came with a vengeance. I tried to get a flat water session on the 8m, but after a few gybes back and forth, switched to the 5m. By the end of the session, I was having trouble controlling the board in the big waves. Called it a day and started drying the gear so I can pack it up. All-in-all, great trip all around. Not looking forward to booties and mitts!

Lunchtime Pump Practice. Good in the gusts but not enough to keep going in the lulls. Tried to pump through the lulls to link together gusts but too far inbetween most gusts. Sunny and almost warm, no gloves and no frozen fingers either. Might have got a bit of a tan. HA! The 7.0m is definitely a session saver. 12 1/2 minutes of foiling is more than I thought there was. NAILED IT!! Finally hit the wind timing. Looked at the IV webcam and thought I saw a whitecap so jumped in my MANVAN and headed to IV. Arrived to 12-15kts and some tidal produced waves. Super wave confusion on the way across flat on the inside and flat off South End James Island in the middle was cray-cray wavyness. Solid wind though so that was great. Supposed to be a no wind day. Started with SSE at 9knots, so I rigged the 8m and big foil. Wind picked up a bit and switched ESE which made for a nice session. First time I have foiled here with an onshore wind. It eventually built up to 20 Knots with a fairly large shore beak. Shut down quite suddenly at 3:30 pm

A pleasant CP surprise this morning. Didn't look great from shore, but worth a shot. Very happy that I did! I was immediately powered once I got past the CP marker with steady winds without any gusts and flat water. Despite my moderate skill, I made it upwind on foil all the way into Cad to RVYC. That's solid for me! Conditions were so steady, I was able to do sine wave jibes all the way out to CP. BDE for me! Even tried hard leans successfully. Tried for a 2nd sesh, but the magic was gone. Thought I was getting there early but the sight of a dozen foilers including wings, windsurf sails, and dinghys changed that! Almost everyone off the water by the time I launched. Five-oh and 1080 cm just wasn't enough - got one stretch on foil outbound, and pumped to foil but stalled and splashed back down twice inbound. But longer than Highrocker's session the other day so I'll log it!

Great day, yesterday I left it too late as it backed off and missed friday nuke zone cause had to go get my van trani re build in LA Paz, another gorgeous town, reached down south toward rancho leonarlo, was going to land on beach but swell breaking to big, ran down the beach front for about 5 km and saw 4 people , this whole Baja s nuts, hundreds of miles of Sandy beaches and no one on them, great to be totally onto harness lines now , big session booster, actually wouldn't mind some flat water sessions ... Thanks Dave for posting that OSR! Ended up winging for 3 hours in spring like conditions. Wasn't sure I could make it work at first. It was a lot of work but I managed to get the 980 going with the 5m wing. Had to make a few adjustments with mast position and ended up taking off my footstraps. Thankfully the wind picked up a little bit for the second half and it was more fun. Nice to be able to get on the water in 12 knots of wind but I definitely need to get a Dragonfly!

Arrived early to sunshine and very little wind but I got my parking spot so I was happy enough. Hung out for 30 mins giving OSR's and chatting with The notorious D.O.G. until he figured out he forgot his 6.0m so then he decided to leave. Was the forecast ever wrong'. Not expecting much wind, if any. Started on the 8m. Had a great session, then the wind really picked up. Took a break, then Switched to the 5m. Big waves and big gusts. Great day!

Not really worth logging. Lots of wishing on a star for the wind forecasts to come true. Nada. Regardless, I need to log my epic futility as evidence of sketchy poor judgement to avoid in the future. I couldn't even get past the CP marker, the wind was so light and directly onshore. Sadness.

Unfortunately not enough beach to safely launch the wing on the outside, so played in the fishbowl again.
After an hour or so, wind shutdown completely- of course it was when i was at the back of the bowl.
Made for a long, slooooow cruise back to the truck.
Only 3 of us this time - myself, neighbor Mike on the kite, and Daniel the windsurfer - ie the usual.

I was intimidated by the morning winds and I didn't have Cloverfield level skills to play in that venue. So, I jumped at the chance to hit Willows at noon as the winds reduced. It felt like 5 or 6m when I got there and then degraded forcing me onto my 6.2m. I quickly got up on foil and did sine wave jibes and then a few quick runs from MTI to CP. Arrived after work to light wind, maybe 8-10kts. Stronger out towards Jemmy Jones and stronger winds could be seen coming in. I waited to rig to see what the wind would do. The stronger winds 12-15kts arrived and so did H-Rock. I rigged up the 6.0m and started to head out although the wind was less and less as I got out. 6-8kts but more gusts coming in. Impatiently being patient out there as it looked like it kept wanting to build but never did. Had one set of 15 knot gusts come through and it was at least enough to realize my 999 set up is way too far forward - porpoising. Wind died, came in moved mast back. Went back out and drifted for what seemed like an hour and no. Oh well.
