Great final day that started with a 7.5 m SlingWing V3. Tried to ride an outflow, no luck, floated on glass, waited for reversal, foiled in 7 kts? Honestly no better than a 6 m. Think that 6 m is the biggest I'll ever use. Pumping the 7.5 m at 6'1" seems kind of useless to get forward drive (IMO). Those Duotone Ventis look interesting but probably not my cup of tea. Looked good while rigging, then 5.0/94 worked barely near shore, better outside. A few long runs back & forth hunting for waves, not much luck there. Tried Dane's 89 & barely got going, switched to 5.3/118 and even that was marginal then. A couple more reaches, done! Mtn bike more reliable

Light wind day today. I think CG on his FlySurfer, Me on the 8m, and the windsurfer that rescued CG were the only ones that got out. We were only out a short time and the wind died. I slogged back to the beach. CG rolled up his foil kite and got a ride on the back of a huge windsurf board. Many thanks to the instructor from Vela than retrieved CG and retrieved his board!

Ryan and I committed to dawn patrol at the point. Conditions weren't as gnarly as we were expecting. The wind and water were "energized" and occasionally challenging. Big gusts for the 4m and yet it was much needed on the inside of the point. Hit a log and ended up taking my stabilizer in the shoulder. Thank god for the 5/4 wettie. After the last few days playing outside, was good to practice some turns inside- although crossing the kiter zone going in/out took some maneuvering.
I've come to realize that as slow as my progression has seemed at times, if i didn't have the flatwater of the fishbowl to play in, it would be 10x slower!

Arrived to Tugboat slogging in. Bummer! Rigged 4m and Operator 850 with fingers crossed. Marginal inside but got going and had a fun, mellow session! 850 is so smooth and efficient; so nice to get back on it. Makes me wonder what a 650 would be like, huh Greg? Huh?? Wind backed off and Adam eventually got out on 5.5. Maybe it'll come back.

Weird wind that picked up and backed off regularly until 5 pm, when I left the beach. Used a harness a bit today. Wings were Cabrinha Vision 3.5 first session and Mantis 5.0 second session. Phantasm PTM 899 (925 cm2) foil, 92 cm Phantasm mast, Phantasm PS 340 (184 cm2) stab, and 80L Slingshot Wingcraft. Good day on the water when little wind was expected.

Lots of rain showers in the area, so expected the conditions to be unsettled. Got on the water as soon as it filled in. Picked up faster than expected with big gusts. The 8m was doing ok, but the gusts eventually were close to 30 knots. I made a bee-line back to shore and the wind died completely. A few foilers had to swim back. Toured some beaches on the west shore in the morning. They looked fun from shore but nobody else was out at white plains beach or Iroquois point. Headed back to Maunalua which seems to be where most wingers were sailing. Nani ended her downwinder from Rice Bowls there and a few prone foilers appeared from nowhere. OP'd on the 5 all day. Arrived to sunshine, couldn't believe it! No shore bubble today! It was fun to ride right in front of the in-laws beach house so the kids could watch. Went way up wind past Rathtrevor. Lots of Sea Lions, at one point I saw one come up as I was going offshore about 50' to leeward, came back in a few minutes later thinking I was a good distance away from it, missed it by about 5' as it swam under me. Wind and swell built surprisingly quickly- to the point i was well overpowered on the 6m, and getting concerned the surf exit would be "interesting ".
Luckily it calmed a bit when i was done.

Challenging day to get on the water with shore break. Not many wingers, or anyone, early in the day at high tide but then lots of folks in the afternoon. Got pushed back in a first attempt to get past the break and swept side along the shore. Got out on second attempt. Lots of fun in waves and swell I'm not so used to. Big swell day for La Ventana..joined the crew again from pelican to rasta! It was windy and had some nice waves.. big swell outside but generals was going off! Had a couple biggies along the way and only munched by two waves! What a day!! Blown off the water

Nice time, 3 kites and 1 wing at the spa, good time ,no collisions with sea creatures today ,swell was not quite as nice as yesterday but still real decent, finally getting that I'm not breaching going directly down the bigger swellglides, I'm pretty slow to get it a lot of the time, I think that's wind off now for a few days,want to head north to pescadero 10 km and camp a few days next wind ,there's some killer flat water nooks up there and the water colours are crazy beauty in the shallows, fishi ... 5.0/94 a decent choice, wind amped nicely 45min in but lasted only ~hour sadly. Cleaned up the chop but small waves only. Fun enough session except when my best gear decided to take up kiting :( bouncing happily across rocks for 100yards. Thx AJ for catching the kite!
This after my van was crashed into @the mountain :/ makes for an interesting week

Out on DW Marty C board. 6-8 knots. Was able to get on foil with some pumping and had enought with occasional board pumping to keep going. My jibes suck in that low of wing and the DW board makes foot switches much harder. Luckily spent more time on foil than Bobson also spent way more time in the water... good test session but managed to scratch my foil on a rock coming in and put a small tear in my wing. Defintely was a lot more fun than yesterday , yesterday swells seemed to gnarly for wind strength but I was overpowered on 5 , anyways today great fun , switched back to 1550 front wing , and was using harness for close reaches,but just 2 of us down here at buena vista beach, swell super super smooth , ok yesterday cruised by a sizeable turtle, last year I hit one and felt really bad but he did sound so I think he was ok,I haven't seen any rays jumping this year but lo and behold on a downwind glide today ...
