Remarkable hour's worth of foiling fun with Bobson, Paul, MtnarG, Greg, Richard, ULR, MoFo4. Brilliant sunshine and reliable 6m winds. Lots of gybe practice, just not quite enough for lengthy sine wave gybes. Consistent powered runs from CP to JJI. More holes developed after about an hour and my pumping laziness kicked in, so I called it a day. Missed a bit of NFL, but gained much foiling joy!

Arrived a bit late perhaps but squeaked out a 1/2 hr of flying. Broke out the ultra low goto foil PNG 1150. Haven't used it for over a year, but it did the trick and popped up on mouse fart wind. Did manage to find a hole out by JemmyJ, should have stayed closer to Caddy entrance. Took a while but the wind finally blew enough to get flying and back out front of the launch. Beautiful sunny day!

Arrived early at 10:15am to 5 degrees and a sailboat race right out front of boat launch and then they took off South. 8-13kts so decided to rig the 6.0m as it should have picked up a bit, I thought. The Twizz arrrived to see what all the hubbub was about. He decided soccer was more important than foiling and handed out Twizzlers to everyone who showed up early. 20C and sunny, Point break was firing today 6' at 11s and large swell throughout the area. A bit of struggle to get through the shore break once out it was a a lot of fun. Had one issue about 10mins in where my foil launched off the wave and into my lines..had a long walk back to the the launch site from the point to reset and the remainder of the session was fun. About 8 kiters out.

Just able to get on foil and cruise around with some flat water standards. after about 30mins tried a flacka and somehow ended up landing on the rail of the board slamming just below my rips. Hardest hit so far winging. Called it a day. Tweezer gave me a Stella in the parking lot, and then went back to work. See ya next week.

Another wonderful time on the water in summerlike sunshine with mild winds in the bay and actionable winds out beyond Cattle Point. Glad to share the swells with Lancer and Paul. Bobson was rippin' it, as usual, off Cad Bay, just a bit too far for me upwind to reach him with my time constraints. Ermagherd, yet another phenomenal day!
Rain squalls in the morning brought variable wind conditions ranging from 10-30 knots. Sun came out and first sessions started in powered 7m 25-30 knots. Outer sandbar worked its magic and solid waist to shoulder high swellies would break and provide great riding and smacking opportunities. A mere 1km upwind was buttah'super flat in the shallows. Fun session with the locals :)) HiRock, Paul and GMan. Consistent 20s and rideable swell off the point, perfect conditions to try the Inflatable on the 1250cm. Bit overpowered on the 5m for the first half. The 4.0 made things much quieter. Not the snappiness of the hard board and sticky on the touchdowns but travel-friendly.

First one out. A little soft near the shoreline, but picked up really quickly towards discovery. Almost immediately lost my wing as a result of poor leash management. It went cart rolling. made the immediate decision to cut bait and start paddling back to the shore based on the offshore. Turned back after a bit and noticed wing wasn't moving anymore. Prone paddled for 15 minutes and miraculously recovered. Carried on for another 45, but the paddle took me back a bit. Otherwise awesome morning!

Surprise! One of the best Willows sessions ever with 3hrs with Paul, Idefix, MtnarG, and GMan! Unusual given the on water reports from the early shift (Grant, Brett). Conditions definitely improved. It was the usual Willows gusty/holey goodness but always a minimum 15kts provided. Inside the bay 5m was needed to get through the holes, but past the yellow buoy, really needed a 4m and there was much sheeting out and turning into the wind to slough off power. NE blowing strong at my house. Was hoping for some Clover, but way to North. Drove past Cattle Point and it was onshore and what seemed to be 30kts. Went to Willows and it was off/cross shore and very gusty, but looked alright. Nobody around, got rigged up and Grant showed up to join - which was nice as I didnt really feel like foiling alone. Pretty weak session. 1 foiling run for 90 seconds and 41 minutes of pumping and enjoying the warm sunshine. Rigged up in 10-12kt gusts but alas by the time on the water not as much. Glass or 1/2 full, and I got foiling and maybe even a bit of a sun tan.

Was hoping the forecast of the swing to Westerly combined with higher than forecasted wind but I was about an hour too late for a powered up session, and instead of it swinging NW it swung NE at the end, but at least I had several runs in the gusts and a few powered up. A few were good pumping the foil practice and I could feel that big tail foil get to work and pump through some lulls. Nice to be out. Looked like it was swinging NW and picking up again as I was driving along the bay homeward, of course!

Short challenging session with Brett (He made it look easy). Wind was North and very gusty. A bunch of old guys (Red van Paul, Idefix, Highrocker, & Lancer) showed up as I was packing up. Looked like the wind was settling down a bit. I thought about a second session but the cold air made me reconsider.

A great after work session, warm weather and a pretty consistent southerly wind. About 10 kiters out and 2 others on foils. Swell was building so it would have been some some waves from the point break but had a limited time so had to call it after an hour. Hopefully get a few more sessions prior heading back to Vic.

Day 3 of kiting and the wind came through as forecast, solid 10m all day long. Great swellies to smack on the various sandbars as the tide rose.
Never realized how clutch off-brand kite hats and cheap sunglasses are for kiting in the Caribbean to keep the sun and glare at bay.
DB almost lost a very expensive Duotone Allula D-Lab kite after a line snap (safety line, natch), but was able to chase it down before it hit the mangroves. Can't believe we are the only kiters at the resort, only six kites total e ... (more)
