No fighting the low tide, so headed out on the twin tip and 10m around 10am. Didn't need much power in the flat water, and it was enough for 1/2hr before Alton came out and it started to fade. Wind line further out, but it just kept getting further away. Waited until 1130 before admitting defeat.

One gust to thirty! One patch of blue sky and one ray of sunshine. Spent the day in social discourse between runs on the surf board. Spent more time on the beach talking and waiting for the gusts then actually kitesurfing. Would have spent less time talking if I would have pumped a 9m instead of a 7m. Weeds spoiled the day for wingers.

Definitely up and down today. It was a day of bad timing for me. Scored the SSE 30 peak on 5m+surfboard but it was short lived. When I switched to 8m+surfboard it tanked and I remained under powered. The weed patches didn't help without weed fins ... so had to take as many ramps as possible.
On the bright side, it was balmy warm and ended up with dry kites.

Suddenly, wind! Waited for more than an hour for foilable winds. Greg and Paul had gone out earlier, just to slog back. It was lightly filling so I went out with 7m Stinger loaner from Lancer. Winds continued to build and it was pretty easy to get up and foiling and to gybe consistently being well powered. After about 30min, the winds got switched to Turbo and I had to get off the 7m before high wind catastrophe. The wind came in with a bang! Was rigging the 5.5m and by the time I had it pumped decided i better swap it out for the 4m. Blasted out and down to mythical Tweezers to see if it was happening. Was maybe a bit early in the blow for it to have the fully developed waves, but still found them and good fun. A little bit kelpy there and always throws me off flagging and surfing directly into and at the breakwater rocks! Almost went to Willows then saw WDocs's orange wing on Dallas cam so headed to Clover. Held onto juiced 4.0 for a while then switched to my virginal 2.5. Slogged in the 25 knot lulls but once up was so fun riding swell with such a tiny wing. Some big lumps out there. First time in big wind swell on the Spitfire and she performed great. The kelp was mostly avoidable but got taken down twice. Good start to storm season.

Arrived at 3 PM to nothing. By 4 PM, it was picking up. I started out on a 4m but it wasn't quite ready yet. Went back out on 5m and all of a sudden I was completely overpowered and went back to 4m followed by bladder puncture. I stepped down to a 3m and kept the party going for quite a while. Awesome day. Loving the new foil.

Launched at the tea house and was a bit underpowered to start. Followed folks up to Tweezers for the first time to check it and found some good swell and kelp. Wind picked up and I headed back over by cattle to ride the swell there. Good power for the rest of the session and some fun steep rides. Tried my best not to sip on the Oak Bay OE 800.

First SE in a long while. Kicked in at 4pm. Sailed up to the breakwater and the swells there built to shoulder height pretty quickly. Super fun with ULR, Mrnorth, Tuna and JW. Rejoined the rest of the gang at willows but ew, it turned poopy and smelly. Packed it in pretty quick after that. Wtf Oak Bay?

Willows poop sesh. Tried Sams 60l Omen board. At first I had no issues getting going with the wind around 18-20 on the 5m. Followed Tweezer over to Tweezers and the wind ramped up and I fell and it sure was tricky getting back up on the sinker while overpowered and in some swell. Somehow pulled it together and made my way back to Willows. As the tide came in, the water got progressively smellier. At the end of the session, definitely felt like I was foiling in a toilet. Still fun session.

Huge turnout of wings more than the glory days of windsurfing. One lone slappy windsurfer today. Didn't have any real issues launching getting foiling or dealing with gusts and managed to fall to the inside most gybe attempts. Invigorating! Very strong sewer smell but hoped it was kelp or other non-poop biologicals. Figured there wasn't enough rain to have triggered outfall overflows yet and that the sewage conclusion was in my brain from chats on the RBFC message board originating from the out-of-date wa ...
