Over-compensated for being overpowered yesterday by being underpowered today!
Tried the smaller foil, short fuse and tiny stabilizer. Just a narrow band of wind near shore with holes further out. A bigger wing would have helped.

Not a repeat of Sunday
Acadia was W 10-15 inside / W 16-18 outside by the freighters
Alton Jr (120 lbs / 54 kg) was killing it on 8m+surfboard once she got out by the freighter.
I joined on 12m+surfboard for only 1/2 hr before giving the 12m to Alton Jr who actually preferred the faster 8m.

Nitinat weekend with some bros. Sam, DaBaker, and a couple more. Watched the meteor shower saturday night until 2:00am, it was one of the most insane things I have ever seen. Sam brought a bunch of Aluula prototypes and we caught some attention on the beach. TunaCan joined for the sunday sessions. Dabaker jumped directly over me on his kite setup, Tuna got absoluetly piledrived on a couple 360 attemps, and Sam taught his girlfriend how to wing - well sort of. I tried a couple raleys at the end of the trip a ... (more)

Looked a little hot for the lake, but went and met up with the Ernest house crew, DaBaker, Sam, and Clare for a day trip.
Road was rough heading in, stuck behind a massive tractor trailer 50% of the logging road in.
Arrived just before noon to a turquoise lake and minimal wind, it ramped up to 20+ by 2pm tho. Did 52km but I put my watch on wrong mode and didn't catch track.
Crazy busy on the water, but fun to see. Also, there was a Bobson lookalike with bright shirt and matching hat, sailed way up t ... (more)

Epic session! Warm, windy, swelly. No kelp or eel grass. Happy people enjoying the beach, stoked sailors. Great to see David M, Adrian, and Ozy. Think I may have busted out some legit raleys finally (or at least an old-man facsimile). Finally feeling the tweak of the nose pointing down and the foil and tail pointing at the sky. Cool feeling!! Rode the Omen 850 for half the session on the Armstrong board. KILLER foil! Need to get it set up on the Ginxu properly. It turns so well and rips on the top end (mayb ... (more)

Favourable forecast on both models with 22kts at Entrance Island. It's a go! 10:00 arrived to a silver sea, the old pine humming 20kts, local windsurf legends all out on small gear. Consistent 20+ all day, 3m was the tool of choice. Smoothies everywhere, warm water and no worries about seaweeds. Perfect!

Wow Pipers delivers. It was worth the 5am start to get a few hours up there. Wind started around 15 and quickly built to 20-25 knots. Really warm water, no kelp and great swell. Had to keep an eye out for a few boats but was a really great session. Its the most I've ever been able to flag out.

Alton Jr and I had an early start at Tolmie on 8m and 12m on surfboards. Sweet head high rollers pitching up to Acadia. By the time I reached Acadia the 12m was too much kite so enjoyed toe side down winder with Alton Jr back to Tolmie.
Fantastic way to end the week in steady W 18 to 25.

Decided to get up to Gordon's for a better guarantee. Conditions were so-so at first. I was the only one up there which says a lot. Decided this was the day to test Omen's new Operator 1050 foil rig. I was impressed that I was able to get up and running in five minutes despite hit and miss conditions and a ton of kelp. Fast on the upwind and hyper responsive in the swell. I'm used to a lot more stability so I'd need time to master turns on this front foil. The 1050 can turn on a dime while still feeling rel ... (more)

Had nice, warm, debris free session though did have a few kelp entanglements by pushing the limits of the kelp beds near the point. Went out toward Cook St to see if I could find out where Tweezer had disappeared too, turns out he was thieving tug wakes on their way back to inner harbour! Arrived and was the only one. Pumped the big kite and headed out with my Tiki for fairly flat water to start. I had loads of fun on my sweet, long, lanky slider. I came in for my trusty Duke when the wind came up and the sea got a little bigger. All in all, it was a terrific summer light wind session. The wind was really good and steady. A few others joined me on the water and, I wager to say that I, yes I, was the youngest guy on the water tonight. So good to see Rob and Larry and Tony on or near th ... (more)

Filled right in to shore as I arrived. Good swell against current just off Clover. Working on tight turns in the moguls. Died and got the last puff in to Clover for a downwind walk of glory. Tweezer, ULR and RDog for company and WDoc airing out his gear on the point. Glad I bailed on the after work pub for Ross.

Joined Bobson at the start. Rupert and Grant too. Good for 40 then died. Put on the 1099 and it filled in again. Spotted a big tug heading to Ogden and hitched a wake ride from clover to Brotchie flagged out. Started heading back and another smaller tug went by. More wake rides from that one. Eventually headed back to clover and the washing machine was on rinse cycle. Great session!

Arrived at 2:15pm as my last official day of vacation. Wind was 10-13kts at the beach and looked good upwind. Rigged the 5.2m hoping it would increase. It did for an hour up to 15-17 on the outside. A couple of Wingers arrived, Marky-Mark and then The Twizz. The wind dropped down to 8-10kts for 20 mins and I had to schlog but looked like it would pick up so I stayed on the outside. Well, it did pick up to 10-14kts so I milked another hour out of it and then called it a day as 4-5 other Wings were heading ou ... (more)

Bonus local session in Mill Bay. Narrow wind line mid-inlet 12kts in small swell. Adequately powered on the Cab 6.2 for the duration. The inflatable is slow to respond but 110L did the trick in light air.
Sunny, warm water, not bad.
