Nitty Day6 rise, rinse, repeat. More board caddy duties with later session. No GPS. Had a great session in light wind, almost no one one the water, have 3 of 4 tacks now, practiced my starboard heel tacks (got them now), got one port toeside tack, so now just need to work the port toeside tacks. Did a bunch of port downwind 360's, some port heineken jibes, a couple walk the dogs.

Second attempt with the windfoil gear with super low expectations. I did not foil at all. But I did manage to make all my light wind gybe attempts. Also came very close to lift off many times but felt under powered. After some tweaks to the foil and mast base placement I was very happy to feel in much more control of the board today in general. Actually made it back in to where I started from. Lots of tips and encouragement from a few seasoned foilers. Craving a high wind session an slappy gear.

Arrived and it was overcast and a little chilly but the wind was really consistent, rigged the 7m and foil. Firstly played on the Ross Bay side then made my way over to Cook St, surprised to find it really flat around Clover point (maybe due to high tide?) Nailed some random floating kelp at full speed, one even knocked the wind out of me the others were well laid out face-plants. Around the 30min mark the sun came out and it was a great way to end the session.

Left the little board at home as RB has been on the light side. Fun on the big board anyway, especially when the wind actually hit 18 knots for a bit. After being on the 1475 so much lately, the 1225 felt like a race foil. So fun to get better turns on the smaller foil and it felt extra responsive as the 1475 needs lots of input to get it to do what you like. Pepe was inspiring us with a great airshow.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record - in a good way. Great conditions at Willows for newbs and semi-newbs! Warm, steady winds, occasional welcomed gusts, not as holey as Willows usually is. 6 or 7 wingers and one kiter at mellow Willows. These summer foiling days are just not to be missed!

Started nice n clear, winds started.Stopped. Started to look good. Stopped. Tried 4 times to no avail, 110/5.9 pump planed once 50m. About to put 12m kite up w/surfboard & thought better of it. Then kites fell. Lotsa beach chatter, kite/wing attempts entertained. Road is bad, not worst ever but I took my time! Little dust!
Sail 1 wave 0 jump 0 windwise nosedive of a trip, bummer, need to lower expectations! Good to meet new & old friends

First time in a few years launching from the windsurf lot a Gordons. Not the same place anymore with limited parking and half the lot a drainage ditch, but super fun sesh in solid wind and fun sized wind swell. Juiced on 5.0. Should have been on the 4. Juan, Lum, Martyman and Eric taking his first baby steps on wing. Good to see Pastdude still enjoying the Strait on the kitefoil. Time to ditch the strings dude!

Unexpected low cloud made for rodeo-like gusty S 20-28 by the sandbar. Worked my way upwind to the cliffs on 8m+surfboard to find steadier conditions. South wind made for some interesting wave rides. Good workout was tons of fun.

Got windfoil board and foil today. I was nervous about trying it. But had a buddy to help set up and get in the water. Felt crazy weird to sail, not on foil, but I managed to uphaul and slog it in the light wind. Didn't have high expectations of foiling on the first go but manged to pop up once unexpectedly and just as quickly crashed. Made it to the beach and quit while ahead. First impression ....What have I done?

Late afternoon looked promising. Breezy at the beach, some caps visible at the point and Tweezer casually gliding in the bay. I rigged the Cab 6.2 to be sure. Got a couple good reaches then drifted in the doldrums past the point. Wind and swell picked up just enough to save this session. Post session debriefing at the Tweezmobile :))

Shorty. Arrived to more wind than forecast or expected. Rigged up and got out there only to realise the wind on the water was side onshore. Waves were really hard to catch or ride on this angle and it was mostly backside waveriding for me. Slack low of about 1.8 metres made the waves a little dumpy. Still fun, but not down the line wavesailing. Best part was the water was so warm I wore my shorty!

A nice day trip to the lake ended up working out even tho BigZee couldn't make it. Not as much wind as hoped, but stuck on the 6.2 115L for the light winds, swapped to 5.7 99L and that killed the wind... still a great day with good company :)

Slightly improved from the day before but not by much. Went out too early. Looked like it got much better as the evening came on. Went out on 6m and the 980. Not much to work with but made the best of it. Gave up as wind started to sag. Went back out on Tweezer's 1010 for a quick round. Good fun. Performs just the way it looks. Thanks Tweezer ;)

Slow start to wind w/ overcast skies, by 130 decided 'go' time, psyched up (out) for first solo in 6-7 years? Modified straps so damaged feet fit, stayed upwind no probs despite underpowered a bit. Board carving, transitions falling into place mentally but not in reality, soon, did unplanned backroll pirouette & saved both kite & board. Eventless mowing of lawn, great landing, starting to relax on the board!

Great conditions at Willows for experienced beginners! No kelp issues encountered. Great to be out with GregCan again, along with Paul. Successfully test rode a 95L board. Felt great on foil, very nervous when off foil. Got some great excellent gybe practice with lots of sine wave creation. Another fantastic shorty wetsuit day!

Session 1, early (around 10:30 am) 5m, 110L, and HS1850 in maybe 7-12 kts. That foil is so fun to play with. Botched a number of heel side tacks but kept going up the lake and eventually was hitting them both directions.
Session 2 big pause, packed up to leave as I had to get back home. Then around 3 pm went out with 3m, 88L, and HA925. Was able to foil but it kept getting weaker. Swapped to a 4m wing. Was ok at first then same thing. Came in to try and leave around 6 pm.

One juiced run on 5.0 then in for the 4.0. Good sized fast swell off Clover. Best test of the Spitfire yet. Just Tuna and Ruppdogg. Sailed till sunset.
