Solid start on 5.3, so lit but fun. Went from 111 to 94 to new 86 before relenting to 5.0.
Almost rigged 4.7 as Jelly on 86/4.2. best waves n wind I have seen here. Got a full rotation on a backloop too, fun Maserati riding moguls. Lots of airtime, clearing a bigger crabpot by easy 3ft. Fun beachside debrief and later a short evening session

Big board test with 1475MA, 60 fuse, 235 tail and shorter mast to see if it felt better than the weirdness on the Ginxu. It did. Don't understand why. Lots of shitty kelp bits. Wind finally increased enough for the 1000, Dart tail and Ginxu. WOW, what a difference a tail can make. Felt like a rally car! Crashed hard into an invisi-kelpball and gave myself a brutal headache and sore neck. Bleh.

Shockingly sweet session! Unexpected steady wind and little to no weeds once I pushed through the first 30 yards. Only a couple of sailors out after launching at 7PM . High tide, warm afternoon, sunset session. Pushing the foil harder in the gybes. Glad I used the smaller board :)

Good day today. Idefix, MtnarG, Greg, Alain, Paul and I got the best of the winds. Got a couple of short sessions and got out before full shutdown and necessary paddle fest. Kelp seemed a little better than previous days or I just got lucky. Still lot of practice needed to surf the swells while flagging the wing. Still can't stay in the pocket to just ride the swells without using the wing. Gotta watch how the local elite get it done.

So many,maybe too many new things at once. New wetsuit, new leash system, demo board (takuma 110) and the foil is pretty new to me. I was amazed at the board wanting to foil at way lower speed than I was used to. Spent a while foiling out and crashing then stuck in endless invisible kelp thicket. Finally got my weight far enough forward and got rides. Even foiling it's really turny. Crashed a lot. Lots of junk in tide lines. Sailed till sunset. Lots of the usuals. Big thanks to Clive for helping me out with a spare wetsuit after I forgot mine. Rigged big on the 9m, feels like forever since I last used it. Had a decent mellow session, the chop and current made it a bit difficult at times, the foil wasn't as steady as usual. Couldn't stay too long as I had a function to go to. Lots of people out, smiles and sunshine!

Fun session starting on the 14.5m Flite. I had lots of power on it and had a good few tacks but decided to come in for the 12m. I had more fun and a few wave like swells to slash and generally it was just a great warm cruise on the home spot. Lots of friendly faces out today and some I hadn't seen in quite a while. Arrived at 12:30pm and found LUC at the Yurt. Drove to campsite and rigged 4.5m as it looked windy. Lasted 40 mins then came in for a flat 3.9m. Sailed 2 hours and decided it was Corona time. BigD arrives tomorrow so day 1 of 4 was less than average for TOW and distance but the wind was above average. Moving campsites tomorrow like quite a few others as well. Huge fog bank that you can see on the outside, should be windy again tomorrow. Campsite is full.

Started light, freshened then got light again. Super low tide with lots of salad in the water. The water definitely moves differently over the reefs at low tide and the foil felt very twitchy again.

Quick sail right off the dingy dock on Starboard and slowly go lifted to Transfer Beach area on the same tack. Then had a short swim and return via circumnavigation of N. Dunsmuir Island popping out among 10 anchored pleasure boaters.
Met a guy with a very old glass & lead 23ft Sprinter race sloop ( " No Dress Code" ) built with Kevlar about 35 years ago. He enjoyed several swiftsures and recently a race around Thetis Island.

Started at Willows. Water was warm and flat, but the offshore wind had huge gusts and big shifts in direction. Switched to Ross Bay and couldn't get in sync with the wind. Always on the wrong size wing. Still' it was better than staying home :-)

Reset the centre on my mast today which was much better from yesterday. Conditions were excellent today. Consistent strong blowing wind. progress on my gibes. Learning. Incremental but happening. Today's conditions seem to work for my set up. Lots of swell to catch. Spent most of my time way out where the wind was most intense. Averaging 22 likely 25 out there.

Been awhile since I've had a solid Locust session! Checked out the Plywood Plant which is the favoured low-tide launch but Beach had already disappeared, so trundled back to Locust. Walked down the stairs to a solid 20 knots and still a very low but flooding tide.
All pumped and ready to go until I realized I forgot my harness in the van (lol), so back up the stair master I went.

Had a bit of a rough start, dropped my kite in the dead-zone on the Ross Bay side and had to get out of the water to reset, rough self-launch and got back in the water only to drop the kite again right in the kelp..ugggghhh. Waited for a bit and had the wind drag me out so my lines were clear of the kelp to re-launch. As soon as I was on the foil went up to Cook St were I mainly stayed for the rest of the session. Nice with the sun out and pretty consistent wind.
