Another great day in paradise ,too windy for my level of kiting so I windsurfed on the outside , real howler , downhauled 3.6 hanging on some nice ramps but big flood tide created some nasty chop ,but sunny , lots of friends , resulting in a big life , took some video and will try to post on BWD Get better soon Martin

like Fish said it was a new place to sail. mostly the swells were mixed up and choppy but there were the odd ones that were big and steep. looked like Gordons was the place to be but I still had a great (somewhat lonely) session and managed to keep my 'points' by getting home for in time for dinner!

Bailed on heading to gordos when ogden hit 29 kts and headed to kook instead. Sailing in such onshore condition was like sailing somewhere completely new. Ended up sailing off clover quite a bit, and found some nice steep rolling swell over there. Lots of port tack jumps too.

Sad but its been 272 days since my last sailing entry (Aug 29 / 2008). No wonder I suck. And my first 2009 entry is a slogfest then a SUP. Wind turned south...got up to 10 so I took out the 8.5M and FreeRace, got all the way across the lake and then the wind switched North and then died. So I did some SUP'ing around the boats in the Killer Cove marina and in front of the hotel. Super warm and sunny. Better luck tomorrow.

Third day in a row! :) Wind picked up earlier than predicted and I got lucky with a nice sesh before it dropped off. Lots of big grabbed front rolls, mostly landed too :P . A few kiteloop backrolls for good measure. Getting very comfortable on the 11m. Did knock the wind out of myself on and unintentional kiteloop front roll that got big fast. Not fun kiting to shore not breathing. :?

:D Joined Pastadude on my 5.5 but was OP so I came in and switched to the 4.7 after 10 min. The wind was perfect for that so I stayed outside most of the time, and also because inside was choppy but smooth farther out with some nice little ramps to hit straight on for jumps. Pretty fun day til later when the flood tide got too strong. Mark B. and Roger were the other two WS. This makes 4 out of the last 5 days for me. 8)

Did not think the wind would hold so I rigged the 15 and went out for what turned out to be a great sesh. Tons of wind on the outside and in ross bay. Totally depowered kite, but still hucking huge :o lofty rolls on the flat water. Came back to the launch with ease because of the wind direction :P . More big jumps in the bay. Jumping on the big kite is kinda fun  So much time, everything is in slow motion.

Epic hike to the river with the kids. No fish but good times on the sand bar. Too many blow downs. Need a major crew to cut a new trail. Wind was raging epic 4.0 while we were carting the kids through the trail. Mellowed to powered 4.7 by the time I hit the water. Hit some fast loops, couple good vulcans and close on a couple clew first spocks. Thanks Luke for the long nap and thanks to Mark for babysitting and letting me get the hate out. Great to sail with Fanatic again.

Used some of my newly learned wavesailing skills from the Bean and Eastside Wave Camp Weekend. Some nice smooth swells that were bobweavable.Duckbill came for a visit, there was not much going on,so he left. Kept slogging for another short while, then the wind filled in. It is amazing how an extra 5 knots of wind can change your state of mind.

Wished I had a headset on the water to let Duckbill know to turnaround.ID Millionaire showed up for some physicial therapy, thanks for the trail mix ID,"the hom ... (more)

:D Another great day at Gordo's! Started out light with a big dead zone inside for most of the afternoon, then picked up outside. I was stuck on the beach waiting for it to fill in which it finally did after 5:30. Then it was mayhem for the next 1 1/2 hrs. Lots of great ramps to jump everywhere, but it got choppy near the end. Lots of wind for a 4.0  and the forecast is 20 - 30 till Wednesday!

Set up AHD demos w/ Wdoc, thx for the help, & slogged the bubble to be in heavy winds outside, held on for a while but felt the tendons creaking so grabbed the 4.7. Needed the volume to get back out but then wow, wish I had a smaller stick. Still a blasting slasherama around, nice to see the great crowd, for a while like an armada on the outside :D Spot OP next time tho
