Since it was still blowing after I packed up the kite gear I found some conveniently pre-rigged gear on the beach and went for a sail. That felt good!!! Thanks Jellyfish!!! :D

:D Great day trip to the lake. Launched Sandy Beach on her 8m and I started with the 10m. Wind was light to start so alot of work to keep them flying. The wind picked up around 2 and was perfect for the 8m. Love the feel of the smaller kite. Getting comfortable on the board...upwind on some reaches....but still the odd faceplant.

I think I hit the water a bit late and missed most of the decent wind. Things got busy around the house and I wasn't out until 11 and it died off pretty damn fast after that.... maybe 30 minutes of planing, then a pump fest for another 30, then some sail flipping in the shallows. Meh.

Took about a hour to get it together, not sure if it was the wind, the gear choice or me. Gentle advice from Eastside to go to a bigger board made the difference. Wind did fill in very nicely, switched back to the 95l for the rest of session. Smooth at times with 3 foot swells, the land effect from the westerly made things tricky , until it filled. Beanworthy!

Not real fond of the west winds at Pipers. Need the ouiji board for sail selection and then just hoola out and hope there is actually some wind out there past the light house. Managed to get out and up high so I was happy. Would have been better on the 5.8 but I was planing most of the time so all was good. Not much of the bob and weave. Saved udder from an extra intertidal zone inspection.

Totally flat at Klover made me wonder, 5.3'ed it for 1 run to the waves, no way  4.7, maxed & flat, biggest waves I've ever sailed here. Endless smooth rides took me past Finlayson all the way toward cruiseships, wow. A bit nervous by myself, then way OP so tagged up, smaller board, back out, 3.7 :x left at home w/ 10kn forecast  4.2 fully ripped, flat & still mach 2. Then waves crapped out, wind got super gusty, tried a bit more, quitting time

Kinda met up with Bean as he was leavin, thanks for the launch!! Overall mellow session, early on reasonably powered and playing, but showers rolled through and kinda killed things, and it really never fully recovered, so decided to bail and just as I was derigging, Matdog shows up with new best kite. Wind still there but not enought entice me to rerig, but Matdog looked to be havin fun.

Took a trip to Kook but things were not great there, best waves halfway. Some decent 4-5 footers off the point at times, mostly ok ramps but they were steeper yesterday. Super fun session. Gusty beyond belief! Mike Tyson wind-fists punching my sail. Slashy, loopy, carvy, hoppy, wood smacky. Needed that session! Ahhh.

Headed straight to the beach from the doctors appointment.

Gusty, huge flood, hard to stay upwind. [b:be13881dca]Wash, rinse, walk up beach, repeat. [/b:be13881dca]Still, smiles all around.

It's too bad that guy with the old school rig snapped his mast before he got out, I bet it would have made some interesting entertainment.

Days Verdict - Fun time in the sun with lots of people out, OH annnddd... thank god we don't have to deal with those pesky Canuck's fans again until next year! GO OILERS!
